So Len Kabisinki and Samurai Cop are the two ideal guests?

I'd love Matt Hannon on a BotW panel, but I don't think that'll ever happen.

But at this point Len and Freddie are my two favorite (non-Canadian) guests because they basically didn't try to talk over everyone. Freddie doesn't talk much, sure, but he's a good everyman since I feel like that's how most unexperienced people would be on something like BotW.

He never liked them but I feel he's still been somewhat hesitant to really full on call it out like we do.

But it's of course getting to the point where if you're not a member of the cult it's getting so ridiculous that you can't really be a fence sitter anymore.

Mike has mentioned on the Undefeated episode of BotW that he tries to keep politics out of his shows.

IIRC it was revealed way too late when everyone was already past caring.
Technically he had a motivation but it was handled so poorly that he might as well not have one.
I completely understand when people don't remember it all.

It was revealed in parts all throughout the movie:
During his introduction, when he's in the room with the big painting, when he makes a speech at his party etc.
The part on the roof was just the metaphorical exclamation point at the end of a sentence.
I thought that, as far as villain motivations go, this was one of the best ones in a long time as far as Hollywood movies go.
Maybe people were so turned off by the unorthodox performance of Jesse Eisenberg that they've missed what he was saying.

What was his motivation? (I never saw BvS)

Understandable.

I guess this explains the FilmBlob ass-kissing.
I know I'm in the minority of liking AIDS Moby in RLM vids......but streaming with the Escapist people is a dud. I never heard of the Escapist and I see why. I checked out his 1st YT stream vid; it's a bland ricecake of entertainment. Jack is completely zapped/caged from any of the energy he brings to RLM vids and paired with 2 extremely dull people. Don't bother watching it, but click anywhere throughout the vid--it's basically the same flatline, PBS radio levels of entertainment.

The Escapist was basically the only site that took a pro-gamer stance during the "Gamers Are Dead" RockPaperShotgun shitshow, although even then it was in decline and pretty much only had Zero Punctuation left (sort of like Critical Role with Geek & Sundry/Nostalgia Critic with TGWTG - too big to lose). Their YT channel is the dregs of them (like all old gaming media sites) trying to course-correct into the YT creator formula, only with unwatchably dull personalities. The market for that content seems to be an increasingly dwindling number of people 'membering when they were more into gaming content and this is where they went to watch/read it, and tuning in for the occasional stream, sort of like Easy Allies is doing atm.

The Escapist was pretty prescient to hire Yahtzee and Zero Punctuation 11 years ago, because now he's all they have left. And I still watch his content.

I think Jay's opinion of Joker would have been completely different if he didn't know who directed it. He's definitely got an elitist thing going on. The constant referencing to The Hangover was especially out of place.
He isn't a rapist, but he is obnoxious and he ruined a perfectly fine Neil Breen episode by being obnoxious.
Wasn't Max Landis the one who introduced the crew to Neil Breen in the first place?

Yeah, if I have any complaints about Jay it's that he's definitely a bit of an elitist and it was clear he was being hard on the Joker because of who directed it.

I've noticed it especially with Batman v Superman.
I understand why people might dislike the movie but the amount of people who said that Lex Luthor had no motivation or that it wasn't explained is astounding.
Everyone was laughing at Affleck when he said that some ideas in the movie went over his head but those ideas went over their heads as well. A relatively dumb popcorn flick was too smart for the general audience because not everything was spelled out.

I think that he sees both SJWs and anti-SJWs as buffoons.
I agree with that.
Like the tagline of Alien vs Predator says: "Whoever wins... we lose."
How could anyone miss Luthor's motivation? I remember being beaten over the head with "I need to protect humanity from an unpredicatable god entity" or something along those lines. I haven't seen it since it was in theaters and I only watched it once half-attentively. Wasn't it also an ego thing? It's a Snyder film, it's not difficult to understand.

That's his stated motivation, but the movie strongly implies that he's a megalomaniac who wants to take Superman down because Supes is the only person 'better' than Lex.

I really liked what Mike had to say about
how he thought that the Joker was a criminal mastermind all along and all his medicine did was suppress that.
The medicine is brought up several times with the psychologist visits and it totally made sense.

I also agree that mass riots have been sparked by a few killings before. The most mainstream one I can directly remember was the Trayvon Martin killing. (Regardless of the politics of that mess)

Also yeah, WTF was Jay smoking? He missed TONS.
I thought Mike was the alcoholic...

Subscribed to the Escapist YT channel recently so I wouldn't go months again before remembering Zero Punctuation exists. My feed is now filled with bullshit videos from them I don't care about :c

I had a similar experience, but it was a few years ago and they actually only uploaded ZP and didn't bother with any other content at the time, which was great. Then suddenly they started doing other videos, including some really pathetic sponsored content, and I just had to unsubscribe, which also led me to not really keep up with ZP anymore because it's not the type of content I go out of my way for. I can understand that they don't want Yahtzee to be their sole life support (especially since he said in the past that he knows he doesn't need them but he's too lazy to do all the organization himself), but talk about a pathetic lineup, which is now one degree of separation away from RLM.

Len is the best because he's always in the comment section replying to people.

Just an aside but I believe YouTube lets you subscribe to a "community" for specific videos, and theres one specifically for Zero Punctuation.

I think I said under my other account most guests tend to be fine, so far the only ones I can live without for awhile is Mac and his friend (mostly his friend) and of course Max. I liked Patton as well, but less Hollywood for awhile would be nice.

Canadians are always great, Len is awkward but he's cool, Freddie is pleasant.

There used to be a few women who'd show up on HitB and BotW other than Jessi that I wouldn't mind if they returned. The bigger lady from the oooolllld Troll 2 review was great. Surprised the lady who played Nadine and flash dance alien never had a guest spot.
