I had to actually look it up to confirm the Warner Archives streaming service was real. Halfway through the bit I was certain they were joking but that's a real thing that existed.

Actually since they started the Nerd Crew other YouTubers such as Jenny Nicholson (who does good content but has sold herself to Disney) have started to be more restrained in their Shilling.

In the down time between videos I decided to read through the Gilchrist leaked emails that were posted a while back thread. Not the entire thing but I used the search page function for certain names. Here are my cliffnotes.

I can see why Mike fucking hates Gilchrist now. Every fucking email is a long winded philosophical rant. Dude is exhausting and unrelenting. The emails he saved were from late 02 to late 03, right in the middle of the Mike and Jay feud. Gilchrist feels he is in the middle having to choose sides and wanted to choose Mike but Mike "pushed him away" so he sided with Jay. But he clearly plays both sides throughout his various email exchanges with Mike, Jay, and Lisa Renley. He seemed oddly obsessed with Mike and kept pestering the fuck out of him in a "I won't let you do this to yourself" annoying ex girlfriend kind of way. He complains at length about Mike ignoring him and how he keeps messaging Mike on AIM and getting little to no response. Says things like "I love you" to him which is fucking weird.

Exchanges between him and Lisa completely confirm the guys had a falling out over her. Jay was a virgin and I think also had never had a relationship or something and Gilchrist philosophizes his obsession with Lisa was from getting older and panicking about not being with someone and latching onto Lisa because he spent a lot of time editing her in private which can cause such feelings? Anyway Jay sounds absolutely love sick and insane during this period, which Jay somewhat admits in convos with Gilchrist.

Lisa is an absolute doll through this whole thing. Feels genuine remorse for hurting Jay and was trying her best to get the guys to be friends again because she felt they were good together. Lisa is the key to all of this. Is genuinely nice to Gilchrist and vents to him. Lisa admits she was absolutely in love with Mike and admired him. I'm sure this drove Jay insane, having crazy feels for Lisa for a while and then having dick swinging alpha Mike take her away no problem. But it seems like their falling out lasted longer then the actual Mike/Lisa relationship.

Mike moves away to Arizona to get a fresh start away from Jay and Lisa in March 03 confirmed. (The shrine thing is a joke from an earlier convo)

Lisa seemed sad about it. Mike claims Gorilla Interrupted will be finished only for him and refuses to let anyone including Gilchrist see it. More alpha dick swinging. Gilchrist is big mad over Mike's taunting. But Mike still goes to LA to hang out at some get together from the movie forum they all frequent so it's like he just likes hating on Gilchrist but not enough to not throw him a bone every now and then. Mike mentions wanting to make up with Jay despite shit talking him at every opportunity but Jay is still big mad about Lisa.

This is all real old RLM lore, nothing new it has been talked about to death but I haven't seen the emails talked about much. He had this section of emails and no others saved as a text file on a technically visible section of his old website because he's an idiot. Gilchrist is someone that worked with Mike, Jay, and Rich back around 2003 on a movie called Gorilla Interrupted and some of their various shorts. They met on an amature movie forum. If you want to know more Gorilla Interrupted lore Mike put out a small documentary about the making of, it's on daily motion

Anyway in 2013 I think it was /tv/ that found Gilchrist streaming and asked him about his time with the guys and he went off on a tangent. It was detailed in this graphic, a lot of which was confirmed by the email leak. Mike and Jay stopped being friends for a while because of a girl named Lisa who is in Gorilla I think and some of Jays stuff. She can also be seen in this video of Garretts along with the guys. She is the woman in the thumbnail.

As for Nerd Crew that was a great episode and literally gave me a little dread about the future of streaming. It's getting too fractured and everyone wants a piece of the pie. Scary thought about having a basic needs streaming service like some dystopiain nightmare. Fucking lol at the idea of a general mills streaming service though. I gotta wonder if they were trying to be funny listing both Time Warner Cable and Spectrum because TWC became Spectrum they aren't separate companies. Also wondering if Mike bleeped calling Jay an exceptional individual because he felt he needed to or it was just funnier that way. I hate the thought of them bowing to the PC crowd.

Wasn't like half of that bullshit dismissed as Gilchrist being a fucking dumbass? I also bought their Gorilla Interrupted thing just for the documentary. I often watch it when I'm hungover and ready to puke; it seems like everyone involved in the film was fucking wrecked, pissed off and tired but I know they're good at editing. If they succesfully edited out Rich being a crying mess and Mike being ready to tear Gilchrist's head off I'm even more damn impressed with their skills than before.

Gilchrist is a fucking autism laden dumbass though that is certain. Who keeps a plain text record of a random year long backup of his emails on a non password protected part of his website that was archived for all to see on wayback? Does anyone know who originally found it? I tried to wayback mine the site but couldn't find anything interesting nor could I figure out how to view the forum posts despite having the correct addresses. There are times in the email when Gilchrist lists weird sock puppets Mike was using to taunt Jay and I'd love to read that shit. One was apparently an Indian doctor obsessed with sex persona.

There was some reason why Rich was living with his grandmother. We don't know if this included his sister or not. Gilcron said that it was because Rich's parents were crack heads but Gilcron shares the same black humor as the rest of the RLM crew so this could have been in jest. Other reasons why Rich was living with his grandma could involve financial or health reasons.

Mike and Jay had some kind of falling out that was later resolved. It may have involved a girl. Jay may have acted like an ass to get this girl's attention.

Those are the only things we can discern from Gilcron's livestream and the later investigation by randos. We can also presume several things we know as fact:

Gilcron hates Jay. Even saying "Go fuck yourself" in the BTS video for Gorilla Interrupted.

Mike dissed one of Gilcron's Star Wars fan analysis bullshit thing in an early episode of Half in the Bag way before anyone would knew who he was.

I see what you're saying but the emails include parts that he quoted from original messages from Jay and Lisa. Lisa is the one who confirms they had a falling out over her and she wanted them to make up. That wasn't Gilchrist making it up he was agreeing with her and being weird and clingy towards Mike. The emails are kind of solid proof of a lot of it. I doubt he'd email Lisa making up that Rich's parents were drug addicts and got into bloody fights. How not to make a movie confirms that Rich and Gilchrist stayed up all night talking too and that's why they all got sick.
