If you ever have to travel to Milwaukee for the love of god bring a gun, its the only way to survive the hordes of locals with sharp weapons and even sharper accents.

All but Jay and Josh are used to gore. Jay stays away from the more hardcore stuff such as Serbian Film and I assume I Spit On Your Grave. I have no idea regarding Josh but I assume he is similar to Jay in that regard.


Seeing them react to the birth scene in Xtro was glorious. They were NOT prepared for that.

It's not just being able to handle them. There's a big horrible mood swing when you're watching bad actors slice each other up with hilariously good effects and even more hilarious Midwest accents, only to dissolve to an actual murdered cop lying on an ME's table.

If anyone wants to watch Surviving Edged Weapons, someone posted the video on r/RedLetterMedia's Discord server.


It's one hell of a video, and I have taken the time to archive it, just in case it would be taken down or YouTube crashes and burns.
 
I watched Rogue One tonight then went back and watched the Plinkett review on it. I agree with his points on the story and characters (it actually sounds like what I call the difference between natural characters and theatrical characters, and Rogue One leaned heavily on the theatrical side of things), but I still liked the movie in the end. It served to flesh out a small part of the original story, as well as add moral ambiguity to a conflict that outside of the EU has been presented as black and white.

There was zero moral ambiguity to it. Space Mexican was just a thug who did what he was told, but everyone else was a pretty heroic person. I don't know why people suggest good people doing shady things is somehow a novelty in a universe with characters like Han Solo and Lando Calrissian.

They never said it was the worst movie ever made or anything. I think they stressed that it was a decent sci fi flick at the end of the day. Like the prequel reviews, the review was aimed at the general public and the fan boys who praise it as the greatest thing ever.

Eh it's obvious they didn't think too highly of it. The guys are generally contemptuous of fan pandering and that's like 90% of what that movie is.

You know they fucking love the new “Star Wars” movies, but they’ve falled into the “Love what you hate, hate what you love” film critic trap.
