Seen in the wild, a new meme template born from the latest episode:

huey is too black sounding for him

- Why do they just eyeball the buzzers? They bought the stupid toy ones that just make a noise (and probably don't even have batteries in them so they can add the sound effects later in post), but you can buy an inexpensive system that'll show you who buzzed in first... y'know, the whole point of the buzzer.
There are dozens of apps/websites they could use to get "accurate" buzzers to use on their phones. Give Mike a tablet to use that contains not only the buzzers, but also the questions, a timer and a scorekeeper.

Or it doesn't matter because they're just schlubs trying to make a clearly one-sided game show fun for an audience.

I really like their new stuff like trivia and the movie prop vids, they seem to actually be having fun with it which in turn makes the vids more entertaining imo. They're clearly very burnt out with their typical movie review formats like Half in the Bag, and considering they've been doing it for well over a decade now who can blame them. I hope they find more new interesting stuff to make videos on. Like that video on VHS grading companies, I liked that one a lot.

I wish they'd do more of these and on BOTW do the gimmicks of course for 10-15 minutes at the start like wheel or whatever. They've always been hit or miss over the years. I missed HITB for awhile but now I'm fine with the wrap ups unless it's something they really like. Oddly I never liked the skits on those as much as their ones on BOTW too.

It annoyed me that they did the usual Gen X "half ass it so no one can accuse you of being earnest" thing.
That's my favorite thing about RLM. They just want to have fun and fuck with each other.

And the audience! One thing we can't credibly accuse Mike and Jay and Rich of is being captured by their audience. They don't seem to care very much, and I like that.

I never thought the HitB skits were funny but I miss them now that they’re gone. It had “soul”, as you would say.

I should've seen Shining coming but I just didn't. My jaw hit the floor Exorcist wasn't one of them. Surprised about Alien too in a way.

Silence of the Lambs was the big surprise for me, probably because I don't really think of it as a horror movie.

That's my thing with aliens too. It's just more of scifi to me than 'horror'. I know it's a both but I still think scifi first. Like they said though, who really uses imdb anymore. It's been shit since they shut off the discussion forums because people were shitting on the movies too much and they didn't like that.
