I've always assumed she broke up with Mike. The "reddit was creepy" explanation just reeks too much of online fedora-tipping. If she was still hanging around the studio, we probably would have heard her/seen her at some point over the last decade.
I'm pretty sure she's been heard in the background once or twice since she vanished.

AVGN alogs discuss Redlettermedia and in the process touch on the reason a lot of their newer reviews fall flat for me, many of the recent half in the bags have them reviewing everything around the movie but by the end of the review I don't even know what they actually thought of the movie.
The worst part about Half in the Bag is the lack of continuation to the Plinkett storyline.

Also, how has Rolfe been doing this for 21 years and hasn't turned into a lolcow like all the other long time youtubers?

Really surprised that Mike and Jay haven't talked about that awful Amazon War of the Worlds movie when it came out weeks ago. Every other YouTuber has covered it by now and if they do get to it, it'll be stale.

How can you turn into something you already are?

He simply has had the right people around him to keep him from the public eye and a Special Ed wife (Literally a Special Ed teacher) to tard wrangle him at home.

Those hypocrites gave me a DMCA strike when I made a supercut of them saying "like" (which is a pet peeve of mine). This was after they included a supercut of AVGN saying "mountain" as "mowtan" in one of their videos.

It made me realize that you can just give strikes to anyone you want for whatever reason because it's not like anyone at Youtube's going to look into it. A few clicks and BAM! Someone's video is just deleted.

Thank you for reading my LiveJournal.

They used to have fun with goofy bad stuff like that with Zaat or Galaxy Invader. I think they're just too jaded and old or whatever to bother with bad movies much anymore. Frankly I'm mostly ok with that, I've mostly liked their Re:views the most for a pretty long time.

It’s a shame too, because it could potentially be another Money Plane review.

My inference is that Mike and Jay resent being pigeonholed into comedy and discussing "movie of the week" tentpole slop in a send-up manner barely a step removed from what they parodied with the Nerd Crew; and punish their audience for these trappings of success by withholding whichever specific titles they feel subscribers and patrons are "bothering" them to spotlight (see: Transformers, The Batman, Plinkett review of Rise of Skywalker, etc.). My expectation is that, as time goes on, Mike and Jay's bottled resentment will grow more overtly contrarian and petty in their refusal to be what they consider "dancing monkeys" (i.e., giving their audience their money's worth), while hypocritically refusing to get off the Patreon tit in which their weekly updates promise big, exciting things people have been asking for.

As time goes on? My brother in Abrasax, we're already there.

Maybe, or maybe like a lot of their jaded audience, they aren't actually interested in the movies themselves. For the bad movies, the people demanding reviews likely haven't even seen the movie, they just want a funny breakdown of a trainwreck to pass some time on the toilet.

Why can't they just do the classic : "One for them, one for me" formula like Scorsese does with his projects? Make a Batman re:View, then a Black Spine Junka WOTW Patton Oswalt x Josh Beardfat episode. I can't relate to being a professional jester like them, but how much vanity do you have where you can't appeal to your audience in the slightest without condescending to them?

And they need to do the crowd pleaser videos with real effort, not this half-baked shit. Ah well.

Just imagine the sardonic, disinterested faces Mike would make while being raped in the ass. He’d probably pull his pants up, wipe his eyes, and have a dry one-liner prepared about how now he knows how Worf’s purple space bazooka felt.

Yeah they totally gave up doing interesting skits. They just can't be bothered anymore, Mike is rapidly turning into Cameron Mitchell as he ages. He's going to end his career sitting in a chair yelling his lines while hammered. Sad!

I may be the balls on the dick, but just because he is a reliable worker doesn't mean he's not a cow.

There's FNAF futa porn on youtube. Uncensored and has been up for 9 months. But, you can't use five seconds of a song or whatever before getting Jeeted.

I dunno. I like the Red Cow guys. Their content's usually good.
