I like Junka. I like black spine. This video is way too fucking long.
"Why was this left in?" is what I keep asking myself, and I guess the answer is "the editor was hungover."
Interesting decision by RLM to get an actual murderer invited for this year's Halloween episode:
Well they ruined last year's with an annoying hollywood hindrance, so I guess it's now tradition to spoil what was once their best episode of the year

Did Tim die or something? Just pay him in a bottle of jack, get him back, he's great
And it works great. Everybody who makes Youtube videos has lived in constant terror for a decade now.
I'm pretty sure Jeremy Hambeast has been living in a decade of inebriation paid for on the back of farming out offensive sloptent to retards on YouTube, not Rumble

Youtube doesn't have the bots attach timestamps because they don't know what the bots are actually triggering on and they just hope the system works. This also allows them to avoid actually having rules, since in the same way that no-one at the company knows what the bots are doing, no-one at the company knows what the rules are.

It's a Kafka-company, not Ingsoc, and the fact that basically the entire digital-video space has been constructed around one of the world's worst-run companies will be a great thing to study in a decade or so.

I did think it funny that Jay specifically mentioned the joe dante video not doing as well as he'd hoped and it has almost 500k views for a 9 day old video. That's a niche topic for a set of older movies, so I don't know why half a million on something like that is something to snub your nose at. Mike did well to mention that you can't try to cater to the ever changing hydra that is "the algorithm" and at least they didn't act like they were in some kind of financial ruin because of it unlike Mr. darkviper

*deferential

My cunting phone autocorrected it. That’s what I deserve for sneeding about RLM on the toilet.

It makes you feel like they still have drive to make videos.

I mean, they have the drive to not go back to being wedding videographers. I wouldn’t go so far as to say that the years of mounting complacency or entitlement to Patreon cash have been dissipated.

Imagine Beardfat, AIDS Moby, Mike and Patton Oswalt on the halloween episode...my personal nightmare.
With no one like Rich or Jay to cancel out the faggotry of Beardfat it would be fucking rough.

My response to anybody who complains about the algorithm or age restrictions or whatever is "Get a real job"

Making youtube videos for a living is just under being a streamer for the most privileged positions one can have in the world.

That us true, but it is also true that "The Algo and monetization is an insane system that makes no sense and youtube seems to purposefully make it all as vague as possible for no reason" which is fucking frustrating.

If these people really cared about Youtube falling apart, they would upload their videos to a second site just to prove a point. IIRC redlettermedia used to upload their videos to their own site.

Those were hosted by the now defunct blip.tv.

If I were them, I'd upload videos to other sites because why the hell not? It doesn't have to be a backup plan. I would assume they get the vast majority of their money from loyal fans on Patreon anyway, so Youtube ad money isn't that important.

Every other video platform is full of right wing CHUDs so if they post on Rumble or whatever their reddit fans will lose their shit.

Mike Stolas could afford front-row tickets for a live WWE event, yet it looks like he was about to kill himself.

Null's comments about youtubers age better by the day. If you're not making any efforts to branch out from youtube then it's all on you.

That is the face of a man who just got caught. For what, I don't know ... But he definitely got caught. lol.

Mike's look into the camera was him knowing that this would make its rounds online.

Exactly. The self-fulfilling prophecy in action where if you start a reddit competitor (or whatever) it will be immediately dominated by whatever groups were excluded from the main site. The notable exception to this pattern was when Digg shit the bed (which gave Reddit it's foothold), because they made the site so terrible they effectively excluded everyone. This could happen with Youtube, but the advertiser revenue continues to be the main draw. Unless YT's revenue dries up or some other video site can surpass it on a per-view basis, probably not gonna happen.
