I don't think so, a bit wouldn't refer or demand that something be kept in. Not to mention, they have used the freeze frame in the past but not in this context or extremes. Was it maybe hyperbole as well? Probably, but it feels like it is spawning from a place of genuine emotion. After seeing this man act, I doubt he has the capacity to act this well.
Rumor has it that Patton was so infuriated by his RLM appearance that he killed and devoured a Milwaukee prostitute, his wife being unavailable.

He had no choice, he had already eaten all the medical waste from the dumpsters behind the Planned Parenthood office.

I almost finished typing up a rant about how Josh got way too few votes in the poll before I realized it's a vote for favorite recurring member, not least favorite.
Anyway, I really wish they'd get back to making their Bandcamp commentary tracks. Those and their Star Trek re:Views have always been their best content imo.

There's tellingly little incentive in the form of money or D-list celebrity clout in it for them (they only did the Demon Wind commentary as a favor to pre-cancellation Justin Roiland). They're just going to keep putting less and less and less effort into the two or three videos they're willing to do three or four times a month, with more and more delegation to Beardfat or Aids Moby so Mike or Jay can take turns feigning enthusiasm in front of the camera.

I'm sure the movie is absolute dogshit, but all their criticisms boil down to rewriting movies with even bigger cliches.

Referring to Jack Blacks character: "it really should have been, like, there's there's that weird house, and in that weird house was a weird guy and he vanished you know five years ago, and well there's a mystery, AND THEN you get sucked into the world. But it's a small town, everyone has stories about that guy, but nobody's seen him in 30 years"

How many movies have you seen with this plot?

Mike is wrong and stupid because Barbie had this:

Rate me autistic, but I find it annoying the (very few times) they've reviewed movies without finishing them. How can you review something, no matter how generic or work-a-day you think it might be, without finishing it - am I odd for holding this view? I remember the Critical Drinker got a lot of push-back when he rated a season of The Boys badly and then later admitted he hadn't actually watched it

Nah I agree, I think if you're going to waste time going to the cinema and make a video review, you might as well as spend the extra 45 minutes and finish the movie. Even if your instincts are correct and you know how its going to end.

No, it's pretty much the bare minimum you can do and still be a critic. Apart from the (should be vanishingly) rare times a movie is so bad you feel the need to walk out.

And even if they want to pretend they're not critics, just guys who enjoy movies, you still actually need to watch the fuckin' thing or else you're just an internet slop peddler.

Yup. Main reason I've never trusted game reviewers (even back in the printed magazine days) when they admit "oh I didn't have time to finish this game, deadlines y'know, lol!" So, like, you didn't even finish it, but you want me to trust your opinion on the whole thing? Nah.

These days I go to Friday Night Tights or Midnight's Edge or EFAP for movie reviews. RLM is replaceable now.

Will at least give them credit for honesty but would've rather they watched the whole movie and waited a while. Since for all their pontificating about movie theaters and shit, they could've at least had something interesting to say about the movie's large meme following where people are clapping and cheering when Jack Black says certain phrases that got memed on like "Chicken Jockey"

It's a pretty lacking review.
