I agree wholeheartedly. Jay works with someone who can joke, and Jay is more capable of taking jokes and letting them play out. That Shaq meat video is a good representation of Josh. In the end, he smiles and acts like "Haha, you guys are whacky, I'm in on it", but for a solid two minutes, the seethe was real.
Insneed. Compare and contrast the Juicy Shaq Meat clip with the Dom DeLuise debacle

Jay might not have been actively joining in on the ever more depraved speculations as to Dom DeLuise giving birth and the specific circumstances that resulted in him being impregnated, but he still fed in to the joke just by occasionally pulling the threads Mike and Rich were offering and not interrupting when they were on a roll. You can also see the difference with Aids Moby too as while he was not nearly as funny as Mike or Rich in the clip he was still actively taking part and not trying to force the conversation back to the shitty skateboard movie, which is what Josh would have done.

that is one of the biggest flaws beardfat has on botw. he seems to think the point is to have an in depth and academic discussion on these b-movies; he doesnt realize the point is to just have fun making fun of and laughing at how terrible they are. the audience for BoTW isnt there to hear erudite and philosophical discussion on movies: they want to see mike make jokes and rich to be in an obvious state of suffering and pain. i feel that if it were up to beardfat there would be zero jokes in BoTW.

To be honest, I do like it when they discuss academically why something didn't work. But I also like it when they joke around. The best episodes have a mix of both. The funniest was space raiders where they had some academics around the music ripping off Star Trek 2/3, and the joke at the end when they are all freeze framed except for josh who is babbling on about Roger Corman. I think having a balance is best. The problem is Josh doesn't really bring a balance and can be anti-funny (see Juicy Shaq Meat). I think thats why he works well on review, which is more earnest and academic in outlook.

Watched the episode; pretty good despite Josh. Speaking of which, does anyone get the meaning of his t-shirt? Because while the quote is certainly from a pro-trans moment in the Twin Peaks reboot, the picture doesn't look much like David Lynch. It kind of looks like Bob Uecker. What the fuck? Maybe it's not a pro-trans thing so much as an impenetrable joke on the fact they died on the same day.

That might be even more insufferable.
Yeah, that looks a lot more like Uecker, which is appropriate since trans propaganda shirts are definitely "A bit outside".

virtue signalling / being a chaser? i could honestly see beardfat being a chaser.
And here I thought that Jay was the secret closet case chaser.
Dirty old man who injected exploitative nudity and rape into really a lot of shit
The funniest thing Lynch ever did was make a horror movie about how having a baby can drive you insane. I can't help but wonder what his daughter thought about that film, though she's had quite an interesting filmography herself. Hollywood has always been obsessed with exploitation, so it's just another day in Tinseltown.

Beardfat almost always walks all over bits in just about every episode of BOTW. That's mostly why I dislike him, even if he's a little more tolerable in the re:View sphere. It just doesn't help that he's also your typical libfag.

Also, someone mentioned a while back in this thread that he has this habit of doing a sharp inhale when he's just about to make some kind of joke and it's pretty distracting once you notice.

It's like when a stand-up comic laughs at his own joke. Incredibly gay.
That's similar to Rich. When he thinks he has a hot zinger on his hands, he will repeat the first part of the joke right after he says it, with his voice trailing off. You can't un-notice it.

See this is why I love discount Moby. Look at his face.

I’ll give Jim some credit here too, because he may be a dumb nosey leaf on social media, but he rolled with the jokes.
He was clearly uncomfortable a few times, and even asked if they could use the footage in one ep (I forget), but he stuck with it and loosened up.

How about his tendency of ripping mst3k jokes wholesale?

yeah they can clearly tell that beardfat is bad for the algorithm, I honestly didn't even register the upload as being them when I saw the thumbnail

Has there ever been a time where Rich Evans has actually gotten fed up with the bullying? As in, noticeably agravated and not just playing it off?

I'm not sure they'd show us if it actually happened. He did walk off (at least) one of the BotWs but who knows how much of that was kayfabe.

An incident triggered by Josh, by the way, because his sense of humor is so bad that even his costars don't recognize it when he's joking.

The impression I’ve always gotten from Lynch is that most of his stuff has a few layers of exaggeration meant for comedy. Eraserhead is an earnest, and very intensely sincere movie about the anxiety and fear of having a child, but there’s a lot of intentional comedy to it. Almost as if saying “Yeah, it’s not really that bad, but we can end up losing sight of ourselves in the moment”.

The closest I remember is when Mike 'accidentally' spills a drink from his giant flask on Rich and you can visibly see Rich starting to get genuinely irritated.
