Probably. You can’t rig the outcome as easily as the wheel.
Honestly, I'm tired of the whole "oops haha we rigged it again whoooooa *Mike dabs*" shit. Yeah, sometimes a video is a stinker, but the fun is in the randomness, of not knowing what you'll get. Not to mention, sometimes a video they think will be great turns out to be shit (remember Octopuff in Kumquat?), and other times a video they think is going to be terrible turns out amazing. If you're going to deliberately pick out a particular video anyway, why bother with the wheel or the Plinketto board?

Plus, it's not like they can't just spin again if they don't get anything good, or pull a video after the fact that they didn't land on but wanted to see. It's just tiresome to see them pull the same old "gag" of "accidentally" making the wheel land on a particular tape.

Speaking of rigged movies, how long has it been since the last time they did a classic BotW of three movies without any gimmicks (not counting spotlight episodes)?

If the "battle of the genres" counts (It's generally a normal episode since they can never remember what the rules are): 9 months

If not: Hawk the Slayer/kid with the xray eyes from May 2023 or New Releases from Feb 2023

They are finally handling props respectfully.
I was kind of pissed off when I saw them throw the Grimlin and the old TOS alien prop around like some piece of crap.
I say this as I own one of these com panels from the Battlestar Pegasus.

That's probably why they did it, to piss people off. In the Plinkett reviews, Mike was tossing around old Star Wars merch that nerds would have paid top dollar for to make fun of them, and it got people to spread the videos around just for that, so then they kicked it up a notch.

If they are being respectful now, good. Even if it's from some dumb movie, I'm always a fan of preservation for as long as its feasible.

im the opposite, i found it funny. i understand the preservation thing, but at the end of the day they are cheaply made props which were meant to be a short use thing before thrown out. the fact people have reverence for them, yet mike and rich as movie guys, have zero problem breaking them is hilarious.

I liked this one a lot, I'm a sucker for behind the scenes stuff. I'd really like they do put out some videos of Rich making the Halloween props, he always seems to go all out for those.
Ok I'm glad I'm not the only autist who was thinking that when they showed the clown set from the Halloween BOTW.

Holy shit. Jocelyn Ridgely (Nadine) was murdered, by her brother, who then killed himself.

Saw it on reddit, the poster says he had known her IRL and the news broke first on facebook. Reddit archive: https://archive.is/jbf0c

Her imdb: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm3406545/
I’m always hesitant to trust anything coming out of Reddit, but damn that sucks if true.

There’s a very autistic, slightly petty part of me that’s annoyed they don’t use Milwaukee tools. I know they don’t need to splurge for that but there’d be something poetic about it.
If it makes you feel any better, they don't make most of their tools there anymore. It's mostly been shipped off to China.

Yeah the new video was fun. Got a few laughs out of the stupid "updates." Need more goofy and endearing shit like this and less of boomer Mike with his cooked film/TV takes.
