Maybe its the last surviving copy of Kim Catrall nude shoot, that Nimoy ordered destroyed
she really should have hid those like her career depended on them, those photos published somewhere would have gotten her tens of millions of dollars. she could have retired. especially back then, Vulcan nudes would have been unprecedented

Her gargoyle mutation was not so obvious when she first appeared in Game of Thrones.
Ohhhhh, she's part of that hive mind. That explains it. Those studios constantly reuse the same shitty actors for every cookie-cutter by-the-numbers production.

Except both Sophie Turner & Maisie Williams proved to be so unmarketable outside of GoT they kind of vanished off the face of the earth. In fairness this goes for a big chunk of those actors that weren't already big names. Kit Harington and Richard Madden aren't doing giant projects to my knowledge either, but I would also argue they weren't pushed as hard as the Stark Sisters.

Didn't the Orville already do this? I think Star Trek parodies are pretty played out after 59 years. Trek even parodied itself with Lower Decks.
True, but I wanted to see their take on it.

Not sure what else they could do, something they love so much that they would also turn out a good parody. Maybe Star Wars since that's what they became famous for? Or maybe a comedy about making low budget movies?

Idk why slightly left normies act like hard core porngraphy is just harmless media that doesn't affect anyone or isn't bad or exploitative to vulnerable people but its been proven time and time again to not really be great for developing minds like children or teens. And yes, hardcore stuff can lead down the garden path into more extreme fetishes especially when porn is a plentiful and easily found commodity online unlike back in the day. I would point them to almost every single cow in Stinkditch and the Furry Forum to show the gross effects of coomerbrain.

I just think it's a predictable bad take and a bit eyerolling. Also, how do they not know organised crime has had a hand in porn and the sex industry? Like. Bruh. Come on. Even in fictional media, it's called out. Tony Soprano owned a strip club, hello???
You’d figure a group of film buffs would be aware of how Deep Throat was produced.

Wait that's not a joke?

Exactly, but they aren't those kinds of film buffs. Jay admitted to never seeing even one Spaghetti Western until he was over 40, and in the discussion here, it turned out that it was even worse; he seemed to have no knowledge of John Ford. Westerns aren't even my main thing, but I make it a point to learn about things out of pure curiosity.
Culture is a language, so the bigger one's vocabulary, the better.
Maybe RLM has enormous stores of knowledge in other areas, and they just aren't sharing.

By way of example, Jay never saw a spaghetti Western, but he knew all about Albert Pune, Empire movies and how Ghoulies was its foundation, and pretty much every actor who ever showed up in a Friday the 13th movie.

Evidence suggests their specialization is mostly in shit movies.

Jay is the RE/Search book series at the end of Fahrenheit 451.

And it's why their movies are bad too.

Of all the incredible casting blunders in Hollywood from the past two decades, I'll never understand how that goblin-looking thing landed a lead role in a big-budget television series. Maybe she's a very nice, sweet girl and I know she can't help how she looks, but god damn she has a very unfortunate appearance and it's just bizarre they actually plopped her down front & center. Part of the mostly unspoken danger in the world of The Last of Us came from Ellie being a fairly attractive teenage girl alone and vulnerable in a post-apocalyptic world with no working law enforcement, with scavengers and other scumbags not being above committing consent accidents with her. At the risk of being crude, ain't nobody wanna give this goblin a struggle cuddle.
I could see Druckman trying to push her casting to "own the chuds".

At this point the fans almost produce more entertaining content.
