most people dont turn into ted bundy or a pedo watching porn, people addicted to porn just cant get it up. and i believe rlm guys are old fucks who didnt grow up with the internet so they are used to just porn mags in the woods.
In that case, they are selectively outraged by "appropriation" of culture and so forth, yet blissfully unaware of the entire history of porn and prostitution. It's been stated already, but it bears repeating: these are Reddit takes. They spout regime-approved talking points. They accuse movies of "having a case of the not-gays." Jay brings up the transgender experience in reviews. This is not naïveté but rather complete ideological capture.

When I looked into who the guest was and then saw that video on the wheel review I knew immediately that it was there intentionally. Learning that it got selected and that they spent an undue amount of time discussing it leaves no doubt in my mind that it's spin was rigged. Josh Robert Thompson's Arnold impression is arguably his most famous one and they wanted to provide him ample opportunity to flex it. Besides it would not be the first time they rigged the wheel spin.
They admitted they would've rigged it, but it landed on the arnold tape anyway, so there we go.

Now you better start dancing

Oh this episode is a good terrible videos one. the guests Arnold impression is gold.

Speaking as someone who became hip to RLM when the Episode I review was hosted on their site: They're not film critics - They're Gen X backseat filmmakers who complain about how they would have done it. Mike and Jay may have gone to film school, but they never gained objectivity or the grace to limit their criticisms to "This is what the director was attempting; this is why it fell short; and this is what could have been done to course-correct." Because that's something film critics are capable of.

If Mike and Jay are capable of more than "JJ Abrams should have directed this" or "This torture porn film did it better a few years ago", they don't think anyone wants to hear it. They don't even have the power of hindsight - It's just "the film should have been different; with more of the stuff I like."

So I don't fault their film criticism to the extent others do - They're just a couple of mid-forties alcoholics who would have died of AIDS in any other era, instead of being as lucky as they were. And I derive a certain amount of entertainment from that, while always lowering my expectations. Imagine how horrible they're going to be in ten years, when Mike has a Rich soundboard to replace his dead friend, and interrupts MTF Jay in every video by pressing the "OH MY GAWWWWD" and "AIIIIIIIIDS" buttons.
I say this completely seriously. Brad Jones, The cinema snob is a far better critic and director then RLM will ever be. (great guy) I like RLM but they don't actually understand how the pizza is made, they just know what they like and hate and can point it out in entertaining ways.
I'm 50, and if I could make a living fucking around on YouTube and watching movies with my friends, I sure as shit wouldn't be as miserable as Mike is these days, I'd be in heaven.
He needs to exercise.
I thought that the guest was pretty good but am still a little disappointed that it wasn't Kyle Gallner.

They made fun of the idea that the porn industry was run by the Mafia but that was actually true when it was in New York in the 70s. The mob lost all their influence after it migrated to LA in the 80s, though.
Yes I thought they were a too hard on the teacher. I still have fun watching them sum it up in their way but it's very fedora

They don't get it. They don't realize how young kids are now online when they first access this shit. Unironically fucks brain up.

"(They) just can't get it up."

Yeah no. That's not all that mass porn addiction has done. Not even close.

Video 1: Why is this pastor so uncomfortable with this gross porn?
Video 2: Them being uncomfortable with gross porn.

That guest's Arnold impersonation is fire though.

Honestly didn't mind the porno segment, because they've criticized sleazy and creepy porn in the past, to me it seemed more like they were criticizing dated fear mongering, which even if you agree with the pastor guy in the video, that's what he was doing.

Hindsight doesn't make him right in the moment, he's still doing things like exploiting Ted Bundy to scare kids into not looking into porn.

Like this guy said, Mike Rich and Jay aren't on KF all day documenting the adventures of gooners and Rickieta, and their interests are with movies not the internet. They haven't seen the horrors we have lol.

Josh's Mike impression sounds more like Rich when he did that prank call where he said he ran that zoo or whatever

It also sounds like Rich's Plinkett voice

Like people have said, it’s not that they criticized him, it’s the way they did it. It’s ironically the left version of pearl clutching (the same thing they mocked), and has no real basis other than, “this challenged my thing and offends me”.
I’m sure the video is trash, and Ted Bundy shouldn’t have been in it at all.

I'm just disappointed Josh didn't bring out his Morgan Freeman. It's his most impressive impression from Craig Ferguson.

A bit preachy of an episode (ironically), but I'd say it's more of a luck of the draw situation. They happened to land on the porno one which they're opinionated on.

I kinda want them to do a wheel episode where they finally go through tapes that have been on the wheel for forever like the space travel one.

Not beardfat Josh is actually really talented with impressions (obviously since it's literally his job). The mobster voice he did when the preacher mentioned that the mafia owned 80% of the porn industry got me.

The episode was just alright. JRT was an okay guest, it's clear he doesn't really know the guys too well and was trying extra hard to be funny. If he comes back again it could be better. Their boomerlib takes on porn were retarded, but that idea of David Attenborough narrating a nature-style documentary about Arnold Schwarzenegger taking over Brazil and making the people worship him as a god is pure kino.
I can't wait for 3 years from now when some hack fraud steals the idea and makes a really dogshit short film out of it.

Yeah, I saw the (insert number) things to do on rainy days, and it blasted me back to the early wheel vids I watched. I think that’s been on there before.

That would be a good gimmick. “The clean up episode.”

I know a thing or two about the pastor (James Dobson) in that pornography video. My father listened to Focus on the Family all the time and I was in the car and listened to the Ted Bundy interview when it was live. I don't recall learning about any scandals tied to Dobson, and while that interview generated a lot of money for his political organizations (one of which was labeled a hate group due to its anti-LGBT stance), it's entirely possible that he thought Bundy was sincere.

Keep in mind that there was a lot less knowledge about how serial killers functioned back then, so of course it's easy for us to view Dobson's call for forgiveness as naive or worse, an attempt to capitalize on Bundy's infamy like a lot of people did back then.

While it's true that there were several hypocritical Christian grifters and outright cultists around during that time, the Christian community as a whole wasn't blind to this and would call them out when they were exposed.

I can't really expect people like Rich to care about these nuances, but considering how many lolcows on this site are totally obsessed with porn and various fetishes, he is naive to think that porn doesn't have a corrupting influence on many young people. Porn addiction probably won't turn a kid into the next Ted Bundy, but it's likely to negatively affect future sexual relationships.

Nooo child. They aren't uncomfortable with the sexual proclivity for urine drinking. They're simply uncomfortable with the clearly pseudo-scientific quackery of alternative, holistic medicine.

But seriously, the irony here is hilarious.
