These guys almost always have shit takes, not in the "I disagree with them" way but in their inability to even understand why they like or don't like something, which is essentially all a critic needs to be able to do.

There is no logically coherent or consistent argument that could be made that says Alien Romulus is a bad alien movie but Prey and Predators (2010) are "good" Predator movies. Any criticism of the unoriginality of Romulus applies double to those movies, specifically all of RLM's criticism. You can dislike or even think Romulus is a complete piece of shit and love Prey/Predators but if you're going to have a YouTube channel and dedicate your life to talking about movies you should be able to articulate why one is good and one is bad in your opinion beyond basically just saying "vibes".

Jay's reason Beetlejuice 2 is bad is because Monica Bellucci's character is missing a finger, a thing that I feel like most people wont even notice and is at most like an "easter egg" I guess or in-joke, that being enough to cause someone to be upset over a movie is pathetic. This has nothing to do with the quality of the film, you can think the movie is garbage, this is just an example of invalid whiny film criticism that has ruined YouTube, its borderline cinemasins level whiny nitpicking for retards. "this is bad because it's lore and lore is bad because it means that something happened prior to the events of the movie" wow. great take.

Mike's plan to save Star Wars is to add more fart and poop jokes, he basically wants Star Wars to become live action versions of the Robot Chicken star wars skits, this is the same guy that said "rogue one" wasn't "real" star wars because it had a slightly darker color palette, but Epic Movie style gags is what Star Wars should be. I'm not even a big fan of rouge one and only saw it once years ago, but most of their criticisms have nothing to do with the film, they were upset that spaceships from star wars were in a star wars movie. If AT-AT's are in a star wars movie that means the movie is bad because nerds might recognize the ship, every single star wars movie should only use different looking spaceships, the millenium falcon being in Empire Strikes Back is bad because nerds recognize it.

Disney spent like a billion dollars bringing Mike Stoklasa's vision to life with the sequel trilogy and the movies sucked, how much of a fat simpleton retard does a person have to be to think the "who talks first? do you talk first or do I talk first?" from Force Awakens was a good line or to like the movie Jurassic World.

All YouTube movie critics are basically retarded, critical drinker didn't understand Blade Runner 2049, and Mike, Jay, and Rich get by on the fact that millions of lonely men use them as friendship simulators. Given the generally positive tenor of the review and how much stuff they reeled off that they enjoyed, I have to think they liked it a lot more than they let on (or realized, maybe) ... or the middle section of the movie is really flabby.

Then the movie comes out and those fears were more or less assuaged. That's what they're referring to in that long ramble.
