I shouldn't be surprised given how current year is, but hearing them talk about this movie is somehow still shocking. The absolute depths they went to disassociate religion from a movie that is inexorably linked to it is insane. Putting all the woke bingo things in an Exorcist movie is just such an obviously terrible idea.

My favorite part of the review is when they call the film out for using the same ending as Reposessed, a 1990 satire of Exorcist starring Leslie Nielsen and Linda Blair.

I'm certain it's been mentioned, but has anyone noticed in the last few videos Rich Evans looks... unwell? Although he looks a lot better this latest BotW, he looks like he suffered a stroke or something similarly terrible. It's been distracting me every new video I've watched since maybe around the "After Last Season" Spotlight episode. It might go back further than that.

Rich is suffering from a terrible and incurable chronic condition called "pushing fifty."

The slow fade in of the director, writers and producers while Mike and Jay are talking about the black lady using ancient slave rituals to fight the demon was hilarious.

As mentioned, he's pushing 50.

But on top of that he never updated his warddrobe after losing weight, so everything always just kind of hangs off him making him look, funny enough, like an aids patient.

And he stopped giving a shit about balding so he never wears a hat anymore.

I also suspect that they intetionally lit him in a way to make him look more unflattering in the last trivia game. But it might just be the light reflecting off his bald head compared to Jays thick hair.

They are absolutely terrified of being lumped in the same group of people like Critical Drinker, much to the detriment of their content. I'm sure it's one of the reasons they don't do that many half in the bags anymore.
RLM's woke fans twist themselves into knots trying to deny the guys are anti-woke. They always claim some hidden nuance behind their blatantly anti-woke comments.

My favorite thing about Rich is his don't-give-a-shit. The guy owns who he is. Kind of the opposite of Jay, who I always felt was possessed (heh) of a bit of personal vanity.

it is kinda funny how RLM sounds like cinema sins and YMS sounds like drinker and like they look down on those guys for being shittier versions of their brand of criticism
I don't listen to YMS but I did hear NULL talk about what YMS' criticisms were towards the Drinker... and almost every one of them were wrong.

I don't know any RLM fans besides the ones in this thread. Where might I find such silliness?

I do think RLM tries to avoid stepping into controversy, especially in recent years, but it's not so much that they're woke as it is they just don't want the headache. I mean, Mike literally refers to this movie as "The Wokecersist," so I don't know how anyone can pretend that away.

The sub r/redlettermedia over on Reddit is a good place to start. Also, there is a RLM thread over the resetera forum where you can find many RLM "fans" in willful denial.

The synopsis is absolutely disgusting. There's cultural appropriation, but that's just cultural erosion, where demons and angels aren't actually Christian and "all religions are true" (which means that none of them are true). And the white family is evil because the dad is a Trump supporter and cares for his daughter over the black child, while the virtuous black dad can't make the choice. From the kinds of committee shit that's just disrespectful to everything.

digibro fans were the same way

check them out yourself but my problem is that YMS has *very* out there opinions yet cant stand other people having those of their own

The idea of other religions having exorcisms is an interesting one to address but the multicultural exorcism is retarded because as RLM pointed out that the demon likely won’t give a shit about the salt circle from whatever African tribe is performing it. So it wouldn’t even be the right exorcism to use.

Of course David Gordon Greene is a retard who thinks “COMMUNITY OVERCOMING EVIL!” is a super deep theme.
