I think they’re so broken for good Star Trek content, they’d accept anything that is mediocre at best.How can they like Picard season 3? Star Trek was more or less more of the brains compared to Star Wars where it's more dumb fun. If you want good Trek, Next Gen is the best way to start then to DS9.Watch the Star Trek: The Motion Picture Re:View where Mike (not Rich, oddly) gushes about a movie that's about as entertaining as a screen saver and you'll understand. When it comes to Trek, Mike (much more so than Rich) is the consoomer meme Jay unwittingly spawned. It's simultaneously sad and endearing.
Personally, I don't think there's been any good Trek made this century, which suggests it's a 20th century phenomenon that should be allowed to rest.
