  • receives criticism from strangers the internet.
i dont know about his politics, but he has all these in common with peetz, so i'd say he def has troon potential.

Culkin loses a bunch of points for that fragile weirdo who was his constant companion -- handler, boyfriend, drug dealer, NA sponsor, whatever he was, he sucked.
Still better than the likes of Oswalt.

and i seem to be all alone in this opinion but jack quaid was incredibly dull. that is the only botw episode i have yet to finish. i was half way through it and bored out of my mind so i cut it off and never went back. all the comments i see online are people sucking his dick so i really dont get it.
I didn't mind him much but I'll have to admit I really like The Boys enough to ignore the retarded parts of the show.

I have to say, even with Jack da Wizzard, I enjoyed this BOTW way more than the past few. They seemed to have better energy, better jokes and made me actually laugh, which the past few episodes they failed to do. I was a bit worried they lost their touch, but maybe they just needed to switch up what they were covering.

patton was so awful, he is pretty close to tying with max landis in my book.

I think Max Landis is the worst based simply of the fact that he ruined RLMs introduction to Neil Breen.

Neil Breen is amazing, and he's the solar opposite of Max Landis. Landis should've been distant from the work of Breen.

I am excited for the discussion on Nightmare on Elm Street, since I watched New Nightmare for the first time on Saturday and thought after that it makes for a better re:view than the first film due to Craven's Scream style meta-commentary, whilst at the same time including some far too 1990s film tropes and clichés.

It is a good film, despite everything, but I am a defender of Scream 1, 2, and 4, though accepting they are not as clever as Craven's thought they were.

Honestly, New Nightmare and the first two Scream movies will always be better than the third Scream movie onward, as they are more reddit-tier. Fourth is okay, but the fifth was utter trash. I'd say the first Scary Movie was a better meta-commentary compared to Scream 3 to present.

Growing up, more people knew of Scary Movie than Scream. That might be just England though. Says something when the parody is more well known than the original film. Then again, so is Airplane.

I am sure the box office was better for Scary Movie. I had this exact conversation in the movie night chat and Idiotron or maybe Mr. Duck did not believe Scary was more popular.

Josh definitely looked, ah, bigger - the neck thing, the thing around his neck, it wasn't that big before. I actually went 'holy shit what the fuck happened' when he popped up on screen. That said, I'll go so far as to say that I liked him in the episode. He made a few funny jokes and even had some quick ones that didn't get a laugh before the cut - but which were genuinely good.

He avoided talking over other people, and he didn't try to interrupt Mike's alcoholic ramblings - which were often his most fatal flaws before, getting in the way of the golden boys. When he hangs back, lets them do their thing - Jay is the face, Mike is the brains, Rich is the heart - and chimes in with esoteric knowledge of random shit, it's a good add to the pot.

That's because Scary Movie was more talked about once Mel Brooks and the Zuckers have stopped being relevant, and people thought this movie was going to be the renaissance of parody movies, but once the sequels happened, as well as one of the Zuckers himself take over the series (as well as its spinoff Superhero Movie) until the fifth movie became a failure, and then the Wayans would end up making Dance Flick and A Haunted House and its sequel, two writers would end up doing their own Not Another Teen Movie, and then there's Seltzerberg who were only credited as writers yet only for a totally different parody movie, and they would later go on to be infamous for making bad parody movies themselves such as Date Movie and Disaster Movie among other things, the parody subgenre was sorta in forever life support.

Found some interesting old RLM lore. I tracked down a copy of a hard to find shot on video horror movie called Old Man they referenced in this review
After watching it I checked out the directors page on letterboxd and found he made another film called Deathlist

Turns out this director has a grudge against Mike and Jay for writing a bad review and doing a parody of it
Where's Deathlist 1
Part 2
"Sometime in the early part of this century, acclaimed filmmaker Guy Mc(censored) released a film to the world called “Deathlist”. Shot on VHS and starring a cast of amazing and talented actors, the film literally broke new ground as well as created it’s own controversy after a less than positive review by filmmaker Mike Stoklasa. This became the genesis for the short film “Where’s Deathlist?,” an improvised comedy about a redneck named Chet (whose voice may sound familiar to you) desperately searching for a copy of the famed movie. The short also features a gorilla in a hardware store, a punk rocker named Sid (Stoklasa), and a character named Arlo Jenkins (Bauman) for no reason. This film may be one giant inside joke, but any audience can enjoy a sequence where a man vomits all over himself and then slides around on the floor in his own puke for 15 minutes."

"This was an inside joke. There used to be an unpleasant fellow named Guy McConnell who had made pretty much the worst amateur horror movie ever, called Deathlist, and who filled up a forum we were on talking about it. Most of the scenes were just one shot, going around his house with a knife or something, starring his .... friends? Anyway, he decided that Mike and Jay and I were his ARCH ENEMIES, and that his terrorist organization, the FWO, would destroy us. He did a few videos to that effect, and thus remained a talking point at the Rewind film festival. Mike is reprising his roles from two previous movies, but in a more warped fashion. So is Jay, for that matter. Lisa Renley is not really the director of this film. She's in the film though. The baby is a picture of Rich Evans. I'm not sure how well this holds up, but here it is."

Oh and the main actor in Old Man is also the star of After Last Season
