Even the trailer for the movie is all I needed to know about it.
Why does the announcer sound like an uncanny hybrid of Werner Herzog, Arnold Schwarzenegger and fucking Tim the Bear from The Cleveland Show?

With the RLM curse striking Justin Roiland, I'm actually kind of hoping that it'll hit Patton Oswald at some point. I know that's wrong of me to say, but fuck it. I really, really dislike him.
It very well could. He’s one of those angry, hard preachers of his team’s doctrine. That’s a red flag with “elite” types.
I'm surprised that Oswald hasn't been called out yet. He's a fanboy of the misanthropic cult writer Jim Goad and is also buddies Nick Bougas, the creator of the Happy Merchant illustration. I think Patton pushes the progressive narrative hard in order to make up for his edgy friends and past.

I actually remember the word troon used to mean ugly mannish woman until just a few years ago when it turned into a synonym for tranny. I kind of miss having that word for situations like this.
Troon is a portmanteau of "tranny" and "goon" that came from Something Awful, a forum that calls its userbase "goons".

He was also friends with Gavin McInnes, but has since distanced himself from him like the "good" progressive comedian he is!

Loved the joke about how the alternate timeline stuff has already aged poorly. And I wonder if the Night Court reboot is going to bring back Brent Spiner’s recurring character from the original.

Half in the Bag: Mr. Plinkett Watches Night Court

I have a more positive attitude of this show, but not by much. It's Day Court, where there's a lack of weirdo defendants. But it's also not nearly as bad as Velma or She-hulk by being bland and inoffensive, so I'm completely ambivalent. Jokes that strike out don't offend me nearly as bad whatever the hell Velma is doing.

And it bears repeating, John Larroquette has a Sigmund Freud beard to cover up his herpes.

Just from what I saw in the video I already realized the problem:
John Larroquette should have been the judge and the daughter character should have been the up and coming attorney arguing before him.

I never heard of Night Court until I started watching RLM tbqh

I thought the joke was that it was never funny so it being the purpose for Plinkett needing his VCR was funny.

Night Court was as good as it got for 80s sitcoms. It started out really shitty though, but when they finally settled on the right cast it got good. Then it got a little bit weak at the end.
Night Court is still rewatchable, as opposed to those treacly safe sitcoms like The Cosby Show and Family Ties.

I watched the most recent episode and there's a "white man privilege" comment. I'm done with it.

This reboot seems like a joke parody of a sitcom, I don’t know how to explain it. like it’s someone making fun of old sitcoms and making it intentionally unfunny, but also trying to wink at the audience and go “lol didn’t these suck?”
