Basically... their show now is like KiwiFarms, but for movies... but people WANT to be on there and you CAN'T laugh at fatties or call people niggers and kikes. They've Joe Rogan'd their "experience".
At least there are still vestigial traces left in Rich…

Yeah, I can see why advertisers wouldn't like their Rogue One review, in which they jewsperg for ten minutes.
Or that time in the Low Blow botw, where they called Muslims subhuman slime. (NO JEWS)
And who could forget when they reviewed Django Unchained and couldn't stop blurting out nigger during the recording? Advertisers surely wouldn't get along with that. (Mentions Jews, but in a Positive Light)

Rich Evans's chinese prank-call was seven years ago. Mike's Urban Market jokes in the original Plinkett reviews were like 13 years ago. They gradually phased out using words like 'retard' over that course in time, like... I don't know, most people? Ah, right, you might have to socialize to realize that's been a faux pas to blurt out for the last half-decade-plus. The complaint doesn't make any sense. If your thing was that they 'lost their edge,' they lost it well over half a decade ago - around when this thread was created. Sure, their videos have gotten longer and the editing isn't as entertaining. I can see losing interest from that. Hell, I stopped watching AVGN years ago because it became so fucking boring.

But I strangely don't feel any compulsion to go into that thread and bitch literally every single time that channel releases a video. Especially not with a complaint that doesn't hold any water and seems a whole lot more like people parroting the shit they see other people say for reddit upcummies. Sortof like everyone saying the deluge of jokes at the behest of christians was trite and boring, when it was about one minute total and was dwarfed in that same segment by jokes that had nothing to do with religion. Actually watching slows down getting the upvotes, I guess.

I saw Mike and Jay at the Manhole yesterday, I didn’t want to be a douche and bother them for an autograph(VERY COOL), but when I got closer it was obvious Mike was slowly crushing a can of Schlitz while muttering repeatedly about how hes gonna "Nukie those apes, like the tapes" and Jay was getting more and more excited about "Making Deadalive look like picnic at hanging rock", and how hes gonna be the "Giallo DW Griffith". Be safe out there, Milwaukee.

Maybe they're just getting old and tired.

Honestly, that seems to be more the vibe I'm getting from them lately. Like they don't even want to do it anymore. They've made their money off of it and had their fill. Now they want to just die in obscurity, but actually can't due to the monster they've created.

The only time I see any kind of sign of life from them is when they're just talking about movies they've seen.

They might just be getting bored of the entire thing and are trying to look for a way out of it without just abandoning it completely.

I think it's two-fold. 1) Mainstream movies became so turgid and dire that they weren't even worth discussing or making fun of. They seem to be DONE with capeshit and I don't blame them. 2) The pandemic. It was fucking awful and depressing for everyone. A lot of YouTubers like James Rolfe have been completely "broken" by it all.

has there been any big cape shit besides wakanda 2 in awhile the second theirs some big thing they can milk views off of they will half in the bag it

half in the bag started eh turned pretty good and then just flat out started being terrible they always try and tip toe around why bad movies are bad or try to explain why boring indie crap is actually amazing

Were those things confirmed to be true? The "I'm dying, Lauren" stuff seems particularly hard to believe.
I remember all that drama. Garrett was a little creative with the truth. Some things did happen, like Mike and Jay falling out, but others were invented or exaggerated. In his defense he likely didn't expect it to reach a wide audience. As for "I'm dying Lauren", Garrett wrote about it on the forum they all used to visit. Jay got drunk and sick and Garrett and Lauren were concerned about him. That was all, I think.

I'm really liking this new RLM curse. If it gets faggots like Justin Roiland and Max Landis to drop out of public life I'm all for more of these guest appearances and cameos.
It's probably the reverse.
Stars seeking out RLM because everyone else in Hollywood know a scandal is going to drop and keep their distance.
So a bunch of clueless drunks in the Midwest get a cool and famous guest star.

Can't wait until for the Jack Quaid nepo baby tranny pedophile suicide cult news to drop.

So did Mike lowkey do voice work in Hackfraud Media's: Star Wars; The Last Straw?

Because in the Fraud Awakens video, it just sounds like some guy doing a Plinkett impression, while the Last Straw sounds more like the real thing.

Or maybe my old man ears might be fucking up.

Mike basically hit the nail on the head why I can't get into The Orville and Strange New Worlds.

People tell me they're good, but it's just annoying to me with all the jokes and quips. Orville not as much but still enough that it bothers me.

Making it 'boring' again would mean bring back writers that want nothing to do with Hollywood. Strange New Worlds is decent and watchable compared to Discovery, atleast, quips or non quips.
