It's pure greed. Lazy dumbasses who don't want to work getting suckered into a pseudo pyramid scheme by professional-looking swindlers promising a large return on investment. It kinda blows my mind anyone falls for this graded tape/video game crap. IMO, if the game or movie is just sitting there looking pretty it's worthless to me. I want to play my games and watch the movies I own.
RLM goes over it but really, the only thing that should drive up the prices of retro stuff like that is scarcity, quality and desire of said product. Like a copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga goes for big bucks because its one of the best games on the Saturn making it desirable and is fairly scarce because it was a Saturn title, one that didn't have many copies produced for it even. Not to mention it's never been remade of course.
If you're paying 75k for a VHS tape (Which is fucking junk technology at this point) you're a dumbass, plain and simple. How these grading companies get away with it is beyond me.
More relevant to that price, though 75,000 is still ridiculous. If you're paying 75k for a VHS tape (Which is fucking junk technology at this point) you're a dumbass, plain and simple. How these grading companies get away with it is beyond me.
An even better example would be Garth Marigini's Darkplace.

Which has looped back around to the makers putting in deliberate effort to make the show bad. To the point it becomes a game on rewatches to see if you can spot all of the errors that have been smuggled in scene to scene.
No the worst case scenario will be Justin Roiland buying the tape for charity...
and then using that to land himself a BotW gig where he will then have an over-long sketch at the end of the episode of him returning the tape to the crew.
No wait. The worst case scenario is all of the above... but it's Max Landis.
Dumbasses aren't just helpful for capitalism, they're ESSENTIAL...It kinda blows my mind anyone falls for this graded tape/video game crap. IMO, if the game or movie is just sitting there looking pretty it's worthless to me. I want to play my games and watch the movies I own.

It's Plinkett! Those of you old enough might remember that weird era where every half-baked SNL skit got their own movie. That's kind of what Space Cop feels like. Mike's shallow character would have probably be fine in a six minute comedy skit.
Hence why trolling creators are living rectums.Making a purposely bad movie always felt like an act of cowardice to me. It's a way of inoculating oneself against criticism: "I meant to do that!"
As guys who made their bones as film critics, Mike and Jay are probably extra gun-shy about having an earnest go at making a movie and failing, as it would be a ding against their credibility as critics.
Based on what evidence?Mike and Rich could probably come up with a solid Star Trek style comedy.
Except Space Cop is an earnest attempt at making a good movie. That's why its failure so shattered their confidences that they have yet to attempt to produce another film.Making a purposely bad movie always felt like an act of cowardice to me. Based on what evidence?
Remember when we actually thought right wing extremists had the capacity to commit acts of fiery violence and assassination and could buy off DAs and government officials to release their members? And then it turned out that left wing activists were actually doing all of that shit and Hollywood ignored it?Is it just me or does the Pentagonal seem kind of based?
You blame your rivals in bad tactics to justify engaging in the same tactics...Remember when we actually thought right wing extremists had the capacity to commit acts of fiery violence and assassination and could buy off DAs and government officials to release their members? I like a good bad villain, but I can't help but think that portrayals of right wing extremists in schlocky films is what shapes SJWs views of Conservatives, regardless of how radical said Conservatives actually are.
Yeah, I mean not to derail this thread into some political spergery thing but that's sort of the point of propaganda like that.I can't help but think that portrayals of right wing extremists in schlocky films is what shapes SJWs views of Conservatives
Have you seen Hollywood? They weren't ignoring it, they were actively accusing the opposition of what they were doing themselves, classic Saul Alinsky.Hollywood ignored it?
