Guess I'm alone, but the movie looks just like the show. Why is everyone so up in arms?

I don't think anyone is. This isn't a widely loved franchise being given the usual wokifaction/fuck the fans treatment. I can't imagine there being a large enough contingent of Munsters fans to make any noise, even with the amplification of social media. It's just ... very obviously a bad movie, and such a bizarre choice of subject. I think it's not outrage so much as curiosity over what looks to be a peculiar object.

I really think they should have gone with the black and white look, and they could have reserved the color images for gags.
You can watch the entire show on their youtube channel just FYI.

Anyway they did movies after the show - in color too.

And there was a reboot attempt already. Several... actually...

Once I saw that Rob Zombie's the director and writer, I figured it must be some long time coming passion project of his. Like, his signature song is named after the Munster's car, complete with him driving it in the video

I wouldn't have expected all the colorful RGB lighting everywhere for a Munsters reboot, though. Maybe Mr. Zombie got inspired by his gaming computer. Whatever, the movie looks stupid and corny and fun and I'm gonna watch it.

I can't even bring myself to hate the idea of Rob Zombie Munsters. He's obviously a fan and it looks like a weird goofy movie he wants to make and will likely be awful, but in the current age of corporate slop I can't help but root for something so weird and awful and sincere.

Considering the Sisyphean shitshow that Star Wars has become, the brain damaged take on Star Trek that's existed since 2009, and the imminent fountain of diarrhea that is Rings of Power, something like this is almost charming in its innocent awfulness.

I first heard about this through Hats Off Entertainment like a week ago. His big thing seemed to be that everyone looks too old to be playing a Munsters marriage origin story.

I'm kind of with Jay. It's a shit trailer, but does anyone really care? What do people expect from a Munsters film in the modern day produced through a direct to video subsidary for a streaming service? If people do care is there absolutely nothing else to be up in arms over at this point?

One time about a decade ago I saw Butch Patrick coked out of his mind walking in a parade of hookers and strippers in Philadelphia.

None of the previous sentence is made up.

On a related note, I was watching The Mist for the first time the other day and considered turning the color all the way down on my tv as intended but I was already halfway through. If I do watch it again I'll do that and fiddle with contrast if needed.
