Everything clicked into place for me when they reveal that the Poojeet was the writer director and insert in the movie.
Uploaded to his youtube account where he has all his medical "lectures".
I'm genuinely curious, and I'm not saying this cause I'm mad or anything; but would Rich Evans have been a lolcow if not for his friendship with Mike? Knowing his awful tenure as a game streamer and how he would respond to literally EVERYONE who shittalked him; I'd wager he would. It seems like his personal family life wasn't exactly great if he was willing to throw away his Grandmother's stuff into the garbage, so that would of increased his likelihood. Strained family relations make for prime opportunities for problems to arise in a person's ego.
What sort of creature would Mike be if he had no Rich to bully and humiliate?I'm genuinely curious, and I'm not saying this cause I'm mad or anything; but would Rich Evans have been a lolcow if not for his friendship with Mike? Rich doesn't strike me as the type of person who would have ever pursued any sort of e-fame. The only reason he has any sort of internet presence is because of Mike. He probably would have just continued to be some nameless fire sprinkler installer in the Chicagoland area had RLM never took off. He wouldn't have even been featured on Ellen.I'm genuinely curious, and I'm not saying this cause I'm mad or anything; but would Rich Evans have been a lolcow if not for his friendship with Mike? Drunks like Jack can be demanding and hard to say "no" to.IIRC, Rich didn't even really like doing Pre Rec once they started streaming and mostly stuck with it as long as he did because of Jack.
That's surprising to hear, considering how god awful it was and how basically no one liked it regardless of format. You see a steep drop in views after the first year or so and that makes sense. You don't make a review show and then show through terrible gameplay and at times actually objectively wrong claims that show you have no idea what you're talking about; and then expect people to actually bother tuning in aside from messing with you or annoying you. Also their audio quality tended to be dogshit, at the level of some of the stuff they would mock on Best of the Worst. I'm astounded it didn't end up the way of GameStation 2.0.Rich doesn't strike me as the type of person who would have ever pursued any sort of e-fame. Rich is literally just a schlub. He'd be like any other grounded, average intelligence mid-westerner who dropped out of high school, working odd jobs, married, probably with a kid eventually, and watching movies with his friends.I'm genuinely curious, and I'm not saying this cause I'm mad or anything; but would Rich Evans have been a lolcow if not for his friendship with Mike? Pre Rectum was the schlub's guide to games, they weren't meant to be a channel like TB or PatricianTV or even RLM's Re:View. The gameplay was not meant to be top-tier and they rarely made objectively wrong claims. They were fairly open about it being entirely subjective, to the point Rich and Jay would have differing opinions in their reviews solely because one liked it despite acknowledging it was not that great of a game due to charm or other factors. That's surprising to hear, considering how god awful it was and how basically no one liked it regardless of format. Adds character. Its fine, Its fine
I don't buy that, sounds like an excuse to post finely crafted garbage and be like "it's not MEANT to be informative and thought out", and no, when you're claiming the game is shit cause you're clearly shit at it multiple times like they did, or playing a game they clearly don't have interest in for the genre or the series or the concept; why bother? Just make a podcast or stick to the games you actually like instead. Also, actually know which member you're talking about before you bat for a side gig. It's Rich and Jack not Rich and Jay.Rich is literally just a schlub. It was nothing more than a side gig for them, so I don't think most of this criticism is fair. The viewer drop off was more because people thought it was going to be official RLM content and expecting much more than what it actually was. The show really should have been called "Rich and his friend sit around and play games" because that was ultimately the intent.
Adds character.
I wanna see how fucked the Star Trek monster mask is after Mike threw it across the room.
