I've noticed this in a lot of multimedia threads but there is a lot of sperging about how certain shows or content creators aren't going hard on [Insert political enemy here]

Personally I just like to watch two nerds discuss how shit Star Trek is. Like I'm not a fan of the series but their star trek videos always fascinate me.

It can be really entertaining to watch people talk about something they really care about.

They very obviously go out of their way to avoid all politics which is their appeal to their audience. Stop bringing politics into this thread.
Some people physically can't. They can't go 2 minutes without trying to bring politics into things that aren't political.

Far righters and commies can fuck off. Eat a bullet.

>Noooo they maybe made a 10 second side-eyed joke about Trump or some other nebulus political thing in their 50 minute Star Trek video...
wojak-wojak-crying.gif
Its so insignificant I can't even remember if they did or not, thats how little it should matter.

And I'm the one keeping this going lol :roll:Maybe instead of bitching about bitching people should just stop the bitching or talk about something else related to RLM?

Third reich Mike is in truth kike Mike.
They're pushing the liberal agenda like gay marriage and AIDS acceptance to children through YouTube Star Wars videos. Wake up, sheeple.

Who does Mike want dead? Old people.
Who are typically mainly conservatives? Old people.

Coincidence? Or just more proof of Mike “The Force is Female” Stoklasa’s hard left brainwashing agenda!

The most noticeable I've even seen was when SFDebris was talking about how Discovery had Captain Lorca killed off for seemingly no reason while Emperor Georgiou, comparable to Palpatine and was shown EATING PEOPLE gets to come back to the regular universe and a shot at redemption. He acted completely baffled and spent several minutes musing on the disparity. (13:45 mark)

It's really REALLY hard not to conclude that things turned out the way they did because Lorca was a white male (and thus can do no right) and Georgiou is an asian female (and thus can do no wrong).

I do appreciate creators keeping politics out of it, but when they dance around and avoid talking about the giant elephant that's sitting on the work they are critiquing... well then it starts to feel silly.

I haven’t seen the particular video you’re talking about, but I’d imagine for some, they’d rather look a bit silly than deal with internet drama over nothing.

As for the Picard review, I think the editing said it pretty well without flat out saying it. Looking forward to the next one, given what I’ve heard about the latest Picard episode.

Having the MauLer thread be in multimedia for so long invited strange bedfellows mad at that idiot for not going hard enough against pop culture politics unto the rest of the board. He should've been shunted off to Internet Famous way earlier.
I like that RLM, for the most part, is able to dissect how lazy/incoherent/boring modern entertainment is without taking the obvious bait in sperging about the media's (often shallow and pandering) left-wing politics. But that's never enough for these culture war-obsessed spergs.

EDIT:
BTW. if anyone hasn't checked out Pam & Tommy after their recommendation, do it. The acting is phenomenal, especially by Sebastian Stan, of all people, and watching Seth Rogan be a loser shmuck on a really bad decline is far more entertaining than it should be. Plus you get a cokehead Ron Swanson out of the deal!
