Patreon Update:

Hey everyone. We decided to hold off on a Best of the Worst for a little bit, but we did recently shoot a re:View for Total Recall. That's being edited now and should be coming soon. We're also planning a Half in the Bag soon that will be a little different than normal. We've talked enough about Bruce Willis' recent "movies" but have never actually seen any of them, so we're going to dive into a few of those 0% wonders and see what it's all about.
Looking forward to this one.

Bruce Willis' current film career absolutely intrigues me. Once a well-respected actor in a bunch of great movies, now just a guy who's in it for the paycheck and couldn't give less of a fuck if he tried. lol.

Part of me wants him to have a comeback movie with Tarantino (like Tarantino has done for quite a few actors), but at this rate, I honestly believe that Willis couldn't be bothered with that. Too much effort for him. lol.

Totally random, but did something cause RLM to stop attending or vending at conventions the past decade? They also don't sign stuff any longer. It feels like they want to keep the fans at arm's length. But maybe that's how they have managed to be drama free their entire run.

I think what really killed it was when Shatner, who was Mike's last childhood hero after picard guy shit the bed with his new series, confused the nerd crew with the real RLM and got offended or something and basically had an old fart moment on twitter about it.

Just when sempai finally notices Mike its just to shit on him.

My guess is he can't do these jokes anymore, he's around 44 now, Rich and Jay are probably in their early 40s too. It was easy to joke around back when they started in their 20s but now its very unlikely that they will actually make it, the internet fame from plinkett and nerd crew were not the path to greatness but actually their highest point.

That's it, meanwhile the soulless retards that nerd crew mocks are still racking it in, and shitty star wars movies keep being made.
I think you're taking their success way too pessimistically. Their Patreon doesn't show dollar amounts anymore, but considering how they have almost twice as many patrons as they did when they still showed it, I'd say they're pulling in $50k/month easily. Even if you took $20k of that for business expenses, that's still $10k for each of the guys split three ways (maybe a little less if they pay any of their other guests to be on, but I don't know if they do). A six-figure income to get drunk and talk about movies is not a bad deal.

On top of that, they have plenty of video production experience, they own their own studio space, and I know they've rented out their services to people who've needed it. They live in Milwaukee and not some expensive shithole like LA, so that keeps their costs down as well.

Yeah, a lot of us had dreams that didn't pan out, but part of being an adult is learning how to take that in stride and find success in what you end up doing. I'd say they're doing just fine for themselves, and while I can't speak for their personal thoughts, I think they don't really have any regrets about the way things panned out.
IIRC, they really didn't like the convention scene but it was the best way to get their name out there before they really took off.
It's a real shame too, their convention HitBs are some of my favorite episodes. The NoBrandCon intro in particular never fails to make me crack up.

Where does the time go?

I presume internet weirdos are why they steer away from conventions. I forget what stream it was, but Rich had a story about some fan who stuck to him for hours and would pretend to throw punches at his face in slow motion over and over.

Wasn't there a tale told on PreRec where someone showed up at the studio and claimed that they invited him to hang out, and when they told them they didn't he was just like "oh no, I guess someone catfished me..." and still expected them to let him hang out?

That sounds really familiar. Wasn't it a minor lolcow who was tricked into driving there? Like GameDude or someone?

it was Lotsa. the guy who wanted to be on Channel Awesome.

Latza, he tried being Linkara for board games with "The Board Gamer's Atlas" or something. No one watched or cared. He wanted to be a Channel Awesome member so badly, and while he sucked, so does everyone who made content for them so he woulda fit IMHO.

Metokur made a video on it:

Here's the clip confirming that he was tricked into showing up to RLM's studio:

He worked for Disney at some point remixing video clips for an app, but this was years ago. IDK if he's still there or what and don't care enough to look into it.

Pretty autistic to say that the plot isn't real because "they got the science wrong" when sci-fi stuff (including Star Trek) is known for getting shit wrong all the time.

Fear of COVID?

Have you met their retarded fans? Oh wait...

Also isn't Gul Dukat in Total Recall?

That was possibly one of the dumbest things Mike has ever said in a review. I think immediately afterwards too he asked if you could breathe on Mars.

I gotta give Rich some credit though. He pointed out the best theory as to why the plot wasn't real: Cohaagen's plot is way too complicated. He could have gotten the same results with less steps.
