I spent so much time on those IMDB message boards back in the day, but I don't really remember that, however from what I do remember about them I 100% accept this as a thing guys would do.

Not to get too off topic, but you remember guys like SALEM'S-LOT, WHO WOULD POST EVERY MESSAGE IN ALL CAPS AND WOULD GET REALLY, REALLY ANGRY IF MOCKED FOR IT.

Or the dude who would always wish every pornstar or nudie actress or model a happy birthday? Woodyanders was his name or something like that.
I was exaggerating a bit, but it definitely seemed prevalent to me. Also funny were threads where someone was "concerned" whether or not a film had a rape scene, and wanted to know "just in case". because they were going to watch it with their family or some other supposed situation.

I don't have instagram. What does it say?

Reminds me of the old days of IMDB, when it had a message board attached to every entry. Every actress had at least one thread with someone sneakily trying to broach the subject of their feet with fake concerns or "totally offhand casual" observations.
Those were great, you'd find all sorts of random nonsense threads that had descended into vicious arguments over stuff like "Blade vs Chuck Norris: Who Would Win?" and "CUSTOM AR15 IN THIS MOVIE IS WORSE THAN ICE CUBE'S CHROMED LF-57 SMG IN JOHN CARPENTER'S GHOSTS OF MARS"

Patreon Update:

Hey everyone. We decided to hold off on a Best of the Worst for a little bit, but we did recently shoot a re:View for Total Recall. That's being edited now and should be coming soon. We're also planning a Half in the Bag soon that will be a little different than normal. We've talked enough about Bruce Willis' recent "movies" but have never actually seen any of them, so we're going to dive into a few of those 0% wonders and see what it's all about.

Feels like a Jay and Rich one, but I'd rather Mike and Rich talk about TR.

Oh good, they'll finally talk about Total Recall 2012, a movie I don't remember at all because I was wondering when they'd end up on Mars the whole time and they never went there, and it was otherwise just a completely forgettable movie

I remember before it was even released, the bottom of the barrel pop culture outlets were hyping the "breakout star" playing the three-boobed woman in the film.

In all likelihood, it's dead.

Don't cry because it's over, smile because it's very cool.
I think what really killed it was when Shatner, who was Mike's last childhood hero after picard guy shit the bed with his new series, confused the nerd crew with the real RLM and got offended or something and basically had an old fart moment on twitter about it.

Just when sempai finally notices Mike its just to shit on him.

My guess is he can't do these jokes anymore, he's around 44 now, Rich and Jay are probably in their early 40s too. It was easy to joke around back when they started in their 20s but now its very unlikely that they will actually make it, the internet fame from plinkett and nerd crew were not the path to greatness but actually their highest point.

That's it, meanwhile the soulless retards that nerd crew mocks are still racking it in, and shitty star wars movies keep being made.

Diving into those recent Willis movies has a lot of potential. I expect Breach to be mentioned

Are they? I can't think of any Nerd Crew-esque shill YT channels that are still doing well. Collider, for example, is practically dead.

Mike and Jay may not've become movie makers like they possibly wanted to but RedLetterMedia is still doing extremely well.
