WTF is going on with this thread? You guys hate Macaulay Culkin, you hate the Nerd Crew now, what's next? You hate Best of the Worst?

https://youtube.com/watch?v=ujBjn1qeCLs
Don't hate Culkin, but he kind-of gives me the creeps.

Not like I find him intolerable, though.

But Patton Oswalt can go fuck himself.

The Nerd Crew really nailed the whole Lootcrate thing that plagued so much stuff throughout the 2010s, and I wish I had discovered that series when it was new. Like, only they and Ashens ever seemed to blatantly make fun of those stupid subscription crates.

IMO Culkin was just a bit too energetic and familiar. More like a child on red cordial than an adult on coke, but still. Not that it necessarily felt like he was putting on an act or off his face on something, but he did have an odd energy and way of talking which stood out even more when contrasted to his minder's behaviour. All the same he seemed pretty genuine about enjoying being on the show and it was good of him to join in the little skits/bits as much as he did. Overall I think he was just in too many episodes in close proximity to eachother.

I think some of you guys are just picky and are secretly jealous of the guests because you want to be a guest on BoTW or RE:view. Okay, I give you Max Landis. I didn't mind him at first but I totally understand why anyone would dislike him especially now. I give you Patton Oswalt for obvious reasons. But Simon Barret? Are you going to complain that he was too sarcastic or too low energy? You hate Macaulay Culkin? Were you traumatized by The Good Son or want your money back from making grandma rent Richie Rich for you? What would please you? Do you want Mike and Jay to fuck each other on camera as Rich looks on and by some dark miracle Jay gives birth to an abomination* that immediately is birthed through his dick hole like the Chestburster in Alien and the mini abomination spins the wheel of the worst, high-fives Rich while screaming AAAAIIIIIDDDDSSSS in unison with him, and then gets on the guest panel spitting sarcastic quips and sucking on a baby bottle of Jack Daniels?

Is that what you want?

*The abomination would look like the Eraserhead baby, of course.

Best part of Nerd Crew was basically predicting Rise of Skywalker by acting like lunatic fanboys and predicting the over saturation of streaming services

The only Culkin line I remember is the one about how one shot in a movie was laid out like Three Wolf Moon.

In fairness, it was a great line.

Culkin is a bit try-hard, but I didn't mind him too much, I just minded (mound?) the aforementioned oversaturation of him in a very short time. And you can't buy your way into people liking your unfunny website or podcast, dude. Oh, and his deadweight cohort ruined their viewing of Roar. That guy was an incredibly wet, pussified blanket... Calm down pervs -- I don't mean it in a sexy fun-time way. I think RLM learnt their lesson from that one, though, about inviting the buddy/handler on to ingratiate themselves to a guest that gave them the starstrucks.

Folks were ditching on Simon in this thread? I think he's the best celebrity guest RLM has had. He's a true fan of schlock horror, shared his firsthand insight into the Hollywood movie-making creative process, and was down with self-deprecating humor. Best of all, he didn't come off as a weirdo.

Am I the only one that remembers Freddie Williams as a guest? Was rewatching some older BOTWs and he was cool in those IMO. Best guests imo were Len Kabasinski, the horror writer guy, Freddie Williams and Tim.
As for the Culk, he got grating because of his oversaturation, I wouldn't mind having him on now. But I am surprised that so many here actually liked the HITB skits, I just skipped past them every single time as they weren't what I wanted from RLM.

I liked Freddie and want him to come back.

Or maybe he can go ahead and draw the RLM yaoi Manga this board apparently wants.

Like many of their early fans, I first discovered RLM through the Plinkett reviews. I watched all those then glanced at the HitB videos and was like . . . nah, don't care to watch two guys pretending to be VCR repairmen, and fuck this fake Plinkett. It was a long while before I finally decided to give the rest of their content a try and allow it to grow on me. It took some time to acclimate to Rich's laugh, that's for sure.

And yeah, Freddie was an awesome guest, and he was there in their earliest days. I wonder why he stopped showing up.

I'm sure they're still on good terms, Freddie drew storyboards for Plinkett's hypothetical Picard series for the review. I'm guessing he hasn't been by in a while due to either the coof or work, but they'd probably be happy to have him on again.

I am thrilled (though not very surprised) that Jay has seen Wonder Showzen, I feel like that horror film has definitely got to be a subtle spoof of John Lee directed it.

Also, I'm shocked at how cheap Book of Boba Fett looks, it's near "SyFy Channel presents: Boba Fett!" quality.

I'm just now discovering RLM, somehow, as in I heard about them like a decade ago but only now am I actually watching through their channel

Welcome to the party, pal!

I unironically dream about being a guest on Re:View because there's some movies I know they'd love but probably haven't seen or movies that they probably have seen, but I'd love to hear their thoughts.

Like for example, the Robin Williams movie Toys, which Rich has referenced, it's a fascinating 90s oddity ala Nothing But Trouble, I keep waiting for them to actually do a Re:View on it.

nah he was cool, I think he's been busy with his personal projects but I'm sure they'll have him back. Or at least I hope they do. They'll probably end up working together again in the future on something else so it's pretty likely. That short unboxing video they did with him was pretty hilarious too, his reactions to the cheap chinese knockoff toys was gold. But his air bag bear sketches were amazing

Len is coming back, I saw someone posted on reddit something from his Patreon about it.
