Macaulay Culkin's spate of guest appearances was a dark time in RLM's history. Getting a B-level celebrity on their show was a feather in their cap, I guess.

I'm legit worried about Mike's health these days. He's now at the age where his weight and drinking are cause for concern instead of laughter. He makes a joke of having no energy, but it really does seem like all the vitality has drained from him. He ain't spry.
The Christmas episode was embarrassing. He and Tim were so drunk they could barely talk.

Hard to know if this is part of a bit, but it seems his love for movies and what not is dead. I think seeing every series he grew up with and loved get raped and sold off like a slave has sucked a lot of life out of him too. I suggest he reads some books.
I think two years of dealing with the pandemic has sucked a lot of the life out of him as well.

Yeah, that was a bad one. And I can barely understand what Tim is saying when he's sober.

Someone call the ADL quick, we need to stop these white nationalists using degrading racial stereotypes

So two Jewish actors are playing New York Jews and so they are doing New York Jew voices? This is so anti-semitic! It is weird that now they seem to be so worried about backlash, or they are that big of liberal pussies, Mike feels the need to say "nothing wrong with having an accent" multiple times during the video.

The Bunny Ears shit was the first time RLM felt like a sell out. I kept waiting for it to be a Nerd Crew parody.
Just hope they got some sweet voice acting contracts or something in return for handling over their channel to 'Culk' and his AA sponsor manager for 3 months.

I just always wonder who Macaulay Macaulay Culkin Culkin's tard wrangler/ gay boyfriend is that is never introducated or on panels.

I remember how Culkin showed up in a bunch of internet shit around that time. I think he was on some AVGN shit too.

It was a big blitz to promote bunny ears but RLM seem to act like they are close personal buds or something. It's pretty cringe.

You might be reading too much into this bro, I just thought Mike saying oy vey was funny...

I miss the guys doing creative bits like HitB storylines, Science Man, and the Nerd Crew. The most inventive thing they do these days is come up with new gimmicks for choosing videos for BotW. It was right around the time they hit the one million subscriber mark that their creativity fell by the wayside. The conclusion of the gay wedding storyline was their last hoorah.

I guess they lost the hungry creativity of youth. Also, their Patreon income has grown to the point where they can just coast on minimum effort.

The HitB story-lines having consistent episode-to-episode continuity, often using extra locations or sets and usually lasting a decent precentage of the total runtime was the peak time and is really what got me into RLM. As much as I love RLM I will sometimes watch literally zero movies in a year so their reviews are actually way secondary for me and more of a vehicle for funny stuff to potentially happen, so when they focused more on other content that was better. HitB fell off for me because of it becoming almost completley focused on the review rather than the wackiness around it and now Best of the Worst is what I mainly keep up with them for.
