Stargate SG-1 had an episode that was inspired by this movie and in the later seasons of the show they had Louis Gossett Jr as a guest to play one of the leaders of the free Jaffas.
If you do a scifi show, you almost have to do an enemy mine episode. I think there's like a law.

Also I hope we can all support Mike during these times.

Milwaukee is really close to Kenosha, and we don't actually know where exactly the guys live.

What are the odds that Rich Evans is on Kyle Rittenhouse's jury?
Mike: Hey Jay wheres that fat guy who we always get into adventures with, Rich Evans?

Jay: Oh didn't you hear? He has jury duty on that big trial for that guy from Wisconsin who killed a bunch of people.

Mike: Wait. Mr. Plinkett is on trial? OH MY GOD!

Decent video and I echo the call for this being a good movie to remake. The premise is very simple, the budget wouldn't have to be large by any stretch of the imagination, and there are obvious failures in the original that could be improved upon. Perfect IP for a remake.

The "Jay asks about new [movie], then asks 'wanna talk about [other movie]?' followed by silence and disconcerted faces" is getting a little old

Jay has to stand up to Rich Evans and demand he make Mike get some fresh writing in
To stand up to Rich, Jay would need a ladder.

So are these hacks actually going to do a Dune HitB or are they just going to keep trolling us?
The Patreon people have leaked that they're going to do a re:View of it and David Lynch's Dune, which is both interesting and disappointing since a re:View will almost certainly be Jay and someone else instead of Mike

Their nerd crew podcast was so criminally good
I never bothered giving their content a view before soley due to not being much of a movie guy but god damn the sarcasm in that is thick

BROKE NEW GROUND!!!?

Dune is a rare good movie that does exactly what Plinkett said to do in his Titanic review; make sure to set things up to pay them off. I just think the shield rules are a bit inconsistent and it might be a lore thing, but short swords aren't even the optimum weapon for that type of combat. Royalty should be using sword breaker, Sai, or Jutte weapons to assist in grappling the opponent's blade.

Hans Zimmer sucks though. Every time I heard the score, I kept wishing I was listening to the Nier series soundtrack instead. Specifically Memories of Dust.

Yeah but Hans Zimmer BROKE NEW GROUND 15 years ago by replacing musical scores in film with strange metallic roars

Hans Zimmer score or weird-ass earth sounds? You decide
