So what would be a good BotW episode to show someone as an introduction to RLM?

The fourth episode is probably essential viewing: Hard Ticket to Hawaii is funny enough, but Deadly Prey and Miami Connection are iconic at this point. The early episodes are also nice in that they're generally only about a half hour long. You need to build up a tolerance to it before you like the hour-plus episodes. If you're okay with a longer one, the 2013 Christmas episode (Elves, Santa Claus, and Christmas Vacation 2) is hilarious.

And I'd recommend the fifth episode of Wheel of the Worst, if only because of SOS and their slow realization of what it actually is despite the language barrier.

I always hesitate to recommend Wheel of the Worst. They feel like an acquired taste, even the really good episodes. (And SOS is one of the best.)

The BOTW episode with XTRO is a must I think.

The one with Thunderpants for a similar reason -- it's always a delight when they discover an actual good movie. (Come to think of it, you kind of have to recommend the Best of the Worst with Surviving Edged Weapons for the same reason.)

Yeah I agree. They're some of the best RLM videos, but definitely took a few episodes for me to really get into them. The Plinketto episodes are a better way to introduce people to RLM in my opinion

But then Edged Weapons wouldn't feel as special, since they wouldn't be used to seeing them watch schlock film after schlock film.

Well, sure. Same for the "THEY WATCH EVERY TAPE!" episode and this year's Halloween episode where the inevitable finally happened for real and they got so drunk they had to delay filming a couple of days. The correct answer to this question is, "Start at Episode 1 and just keep going," but some people just don't have the fortitude for that.

Another one I always recommend is Episode 35, the one where they have Max Landis as a guest and have everyone's brains turn into jelly because of Double Down.

Controversial opinion: I like that episode. But my favorite episode with a guest is either the Simon Barret one, especially because of their dissection of Rocktober Blood and the scandal with the Blu and crowdfunding campaign. Or the one with Jillian and they watch Crazy Fat Ethel 2. That episode is another good entry point for an RLM virgin.

Controversial opinion perhaps, but I can't stand the laugh of that chick in these earlier episodes. It's way too harsh. Rich on the other hand has a really infectious laugh that I can appreciate.

I read that she was so hated by so many viewers that she stopped doing the show. I have no idea if she's even still with Mike, but I don't blame her. I thought she was fine.

I had heard someone creepy began stalking her and that's why she no longer wished to be on camera. She is still with RLM and Mike, as far as I know; just no longer seen.

I can't imagine Jessi was hated to that extreme; same with Josh and Jack, it'd be way more apparent. And I've never seen any comments on any episode of anyone expressing intense dislike of her.
