Oh great... more ST talk. The only thing worse than modern Star Trek is listening to people talk about it. Big skip. I love RLM and would rather listen to them talk about literally anything else. More reason that I love Jay, he wants no part of that shit.

I don't particularly care about Star Trek, but like most people I have my own beloved media that has been raped by Modern Day and I get a cathartic release by seeing Mike and Rich releasing their own frustrations.

Really that should have been the plot of ST Nemesis. Like in the Voyager episode "Fury" just have Wesley return, hopped up on god-powers and pissed the crew turned him over to a groomer. THAT would have been an epic way to end the TNG crew.

There was some fluff around the time of Voyager about... basically this. Like anything over 5 was ripping apart subspace and Voyager was designed to go like warp 7 without causing environmental damage.
It was quietly dropped real fast, IIRC.
