You get it at the end of chapter 6. Rockstar sure loves its locked maps. Even in GTASA with wanted level cheats, you usually don't get cool shit in San Fierro and Las Ventures until AFTER you get to them in story. And I'm pretty sure it's similar in GTA5 with areas that you fly to before the story demands it or in RDR1 with police exploits

I'm already at 9/10, 8/8 leveled, 1 boost from reinforced equipment, I just need three challenges completed for each to get 10/10. The only one you can complete three of for before Chapter 6 is Dead Eye. And if you complete all the challenges you get Legend of the East outfit which is 10% boost to everything. Which apparently I can't do until Chapter 6. Which sucks. I'd be fine with bounty hunters chasing after me, I take offense to the invisible sniper from God.

At least it's still better than getting secret guns and outfits in a RDR1 or needing to beat Vice City for planes
 
Anyone know how to gain weight? I've been gouging down candy and chocolate bars and I'm still underweight. If it makes any difference, I've beaten the epilogue.

You gotta cook proper meals and eat them regularly. Candy and chocolate bars have had no effect from what I can tell. So, basically go kill an animal, skin it, cook its meat and gorge yourself.
 
I have just beaten the game and I already miss Arthur. Plus, now I have a hankering for beautifully-rendered cowboy simulators. Hopefully Rockstar will continue the general idea.
 
Even the net's favorite review autism dens have been kinda fair. Tbh, the weird jank actually makes the game kinda interesting to me, they could've easily made a super sanitized "GTA with horses and Ass Creed mechanics"

Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong with legendary fish? I can catch three muskies in a row without even trying, but when I use the special lake lure and land it within inches of the sockeye salmon's mouth the bastard just ignores it. I reel in slowly and everything and it's still not enough.

I was going to just whip out the shotgun and blast his ass, but Rockstar decided to make legendary fish swim away and disappear the moment you unequip your rod (the cunts).
 
Has this guy even played the game? He's citing fucking reddit and gamefaqs threads and just referencing basic mechanics that you could easily find on the RDR Wiki. As for "universal backlash", yeah dude it's hated so much that it has a 78 user metascore despite an early 1 star scorebombing and sold 5+mil units in like a week. As for the "shenmue" part, he probably forgot the part where shenmue 1 had no time skip mechanic and forced you to wait in that time. I know I'm a broken record at this point, but this article is just clickbait garbage that cites fucking gamefaqs threads

The 70% and 80% scores for this game seem fairest, not overpraising it, but at the same time not either autistically screeching about the 97% critic score or crying about the game being boring
Why does Youtube recommend me this poorly thought clickbait so often? It's almost as bad as the "why steven universe sucks" videos that flood my recommended feed. This guy isn't even a game reviewer, he's a fucking car reviewer. I've also gotten similar shit like "Why Majora 3D is a bad remake" or "Is Crash Overrated"?

From my experience, you just have to keep at it until the damn decides to take the bait.

Oh, and you'll really start to hate muskies soon enough, those fuckers are everywhere and love special bait.

I think I figured out the problem. I'm 99% sure legendary fish don't start to bite your bait until you start the "A Fisher of Fish" quest. The sockeye salmon didn't bite my bait once beforehand. I come back after activating the quest, though, and it bites every time I toss it into the water... granted, he snaps the line about a dozen or so seconds in every time, but that's besides the point.

It makes sense since there's nowhere else to take the legendary fish after you catch them except for the guy who gives you the quest. That being said, it'd be nice if the game told me this instead forcing me to figure it out on my own.
