Randy is my favorite lolcow because he is a CEO. This guy is the head honcho of a AAA game developer. He is also a "magician" that tries to tie in his magic acts to every single game announcement. This guy's company worked with VALVE on HALF-LIFE expansions.

The movie is on track to lose like $80,000,000 dollars. Good thing that Randy is a CEO of a video game company - an industry that's doing extremely well and not looking to cut costs in any way possible. Borderlands 3 is a game that is beloved and he isn't putting himself in the crosshairs by wasting money and goodwill.

Randy being Randy though - he probably somehow made a bunch of money off of this and fleeced the fuck out of Lionsgate.

Imagine taking personal offence to people not liking a movie you had almost nothing to do with.
 
He is now actively blocking the franchise's biggest content creators, even those who merely said the movie was okay, for having even the slightest criticism over it.

 
Randy is now claiming blocking the higher profile critics of the movie was purely accidental and he indeed takes criticism very well actually and is not a thin skinned narcissist

Also, lol, the Borderlands movie only made $4 million this weekend against a $115-120 million budget. They're gonna get so hosed on this pile of crap.
 
I'm so glad the Randy is loose again on twitter. I thought the buyout by Embracer and now 2K would cause him to be forever gagged in exchange for staying in a top position, but thankfully I was wrong since they can't seem to contain his spergouts.

The only thing that could be better is if Randy has some financial stake in the movie somehow. I know he gets a royalty check if it does well but I wish he put a personal stake into it. There’s still a chance for him to blow all his money on something stupid before he reaches multi millionaire to big to fail status
