The obese were seen as the upper class because for the majority of recorded history in the Anglosphere, only nobility or otherwise economically privileged people could afford access to excessive amounts of food. They also didn't always have to work in the fields or do much of any physical labor.

Since it's only recently that the obese are more common in middle-to-lower classes, we still associate it with money. Once again, Tumblr needs to read a book that isn't from the YA isle.

The only comfort I take in this is the knowledge of the atrocities that have been occurred at this posters favorite pizza places. I had a close friend who used to work for a heavily understaffed Little Caesars in a rough neighborhood. Evidently, he made it about a year before realizing that the management outright refused to fire anyone unless they were absolutely forced into doing so. Thus began a game of seeing just how far he could go and still keep his job. If someone mistreated him, he defiled their food in ways that were both horrifying and impressively innovative.
He still had that job 2 years later when he moved out of state.

It's the same shit that happened with the pony fandom. Their fandom is going downhill and they won't do anything to try to get the assholes on the extreme fringe out of the fandom, or at least try to make an attempt to go 'uh we don't agree with what that dudes doing, at all'.

Instead it's just "WELL THIS FANDOM IS WORSE (citation needed)!!!"

Pathetic. I can't even try to get into Steven Universe now because of this crap. I feel bad for SU's staff sometimes but at the same time they kind of enabled these kind of fanbrats when they answered questions in the way they did ("the gems have no gender" etc.), and now shits out of their control and their fans won't listen to them.

I much prefer Gravity Falls' staff in general, Alex Hirsch has told people off over their weird fan questions, and him and some of the show staff hang out and shitpost on /co/ (which has gotten them yelled at by other cartoon show staff apparently).

Basically, congratulations Steven Universe fandom, you've become the thing you hated (bronies)!

Nah, give it a go, SU isn't really that bad; in fact it's quite interesting. Start is bit slow but it gets even darker and dwells more into story as it goes on. Gotta admit I hate that episodes comes only once in a while (them bombs).

On other hand, I agree on gender thing, as much as some people are seeking validation from show creators, going into gender politics rarely turns out good. Besides, kids don't even care about that shit. Which, makes me think about something: how would these Tumblr dildos behave if today hottest shit on television was Dragon Ball, I mean them Namekians are basically same as gems: they don't have gender, they reproduce asexually (spit dat egg) and they can even fuse into eachother as we witnessed in Frieza Saga. For some reason trying to imagine Tumblrtards shrieking about Piccolo in the manner they freak out about Gems is making me giggle.

I like how the OP gives no context to what the doctor guy is replying to, so that people would be more inclined to side with them rather than the medical professional. He didn't even belittle or 'infantilize' them, both of which seem to be popular tumblr buzzwords lately.
