I'm mostly bothered by the fact that most of Tumblr posts are written to look this bad. How are you going to make a post that is so serious to you and type it like a 12 year old girl and expect people to take you seriously.
 
C'mon, there's plenty of YA that involves lesbians that's decent. What about The Difference Between You And Me or Tell Me Again How a Crush Should Feel or the classic Annie on My Mind (written in 1982)? Anyway, most YA is bad, it's the nature of the genre.

If they want brown on brown romance, they should look in Bollywood. Melodrama of that sort is common there.

Yeah, but if it's someone you don't even know, why do you need to go bother them just to ask what their gender is? Why do you care? Unless you have a real reason to talk to them, it's just annoying.
