Because whitewashing a fictional character matters to Tumblr, for some reason (probably :autism
EDIT: of course as soon as someone speaks up, a Tumblrite has this garbage argument (below). Seriously, a squid person thingy is apparently POC representation according to them.
EDIT2: I don't have any more screenshots but a couple people are arguing over whitewashing of an entirely FICTIONAL squid thing. Not joking when I say these people actually need help.
