Pansexual is supposed to mean that when you fall for someone, gender doesn't factor into it, while if you're bisexual, you may have preferences. Therefore, there is overlap and for many people, you could choose either label and it's just down to what you prefer.
Some pansexual people act like being pansexual makes them more woke, because they like "men, women and trans people" even though that implies trans people aren't real men or women, which when you consider how these same people act like bisexuality excludes trans people/nonbinary and is therefore transphobic, is pretty laughable.
