I like the badcharacterdesign blog, but the mod running it is a little dense. How is a dude drawing what he finds attractive any different than some fangirl making huge bara ocs?

i dont get the flack Holly gets either - she is genuinely great at caring for birds

TBH, I forgot that Ross was an animator. His stuff is pretty alright. Give that person a thread for that color scheme though, Jesus Christ my eyes.

Basically, there's this whole cutesy trend where people share cute bird videos and call them "birbs" and stuff. It's no different than cute cat vids imho, but this person thinks that making animals like that out to be cute will encourage incompetent pet owners to buy birds and abuse them

Don't get me wrong, birds aren't easy to keep (especially with all the false info about cage sizes and stuff) but she's putting her whole crusade against a single cutesy word instead of the dumbasses who don't make an effort to learn about birdkeeping

I think it may have something to do with Ross being heterosexual, white, and male and not identifying as any variety of shit someone just made up. On top of that many of the people complaining are of the "it's only okay when we do it" mindset.
