I'm always fascinated by the way that drag, once a revolutionary way (hell, the only way) that gender norms were challenged in society is now being portrayed as some kind of deeply fetishistic and harmful practice. This is especially interesting when they know good and goddamn well that like half the transfolk out there had a year dabbling in drag prior to declaring themselves trans which they are now pretending "never happened".

I'm curious what will next be brought to the chopping block as these kids continue stomping on the people who paved the way for them.

I don't remember if anyone mentioned this or not: Have we talked yet about all the freaks on tumblr that want to fuck Pennywise the clown and the fish man from The Shape of Water?

Because the latter side seems to think they're above the same level of criticism.

I like how they specify "cis men" drag queens, but I distinctly remember tumblr HATED Carmen Carrera, a (white, SHAMEFUL) transgender woman and, at the time, drag queen.
Kids are forgetting their history and thinking they can rewrite it in order to fit their narrative. They can be sure, though, that drag queens don't give a shit at all if some bratty tumblr kids are uncomfortable about their existence.

This has to be a troll. That, or someone's reached so damn hard that both of their arms are horribly dislocated.
 
This blog posted cute art of disney princesses using kimonos made by an asian artist and people are accusing him/her of cultural appropriation and racism for not including poc princesses (although Jasmine is there). Maybe the artist didn't even want to draw disney princesses, just the female characters he likes the best.

We talked about it briefly, not so long ago. Basically there are kids wanting to fuck the clown and calling him "LGBTQ+ representation because he's genderfluid and dating Babadook uwu" and people getting angry at them, that they would pick a monster who preys on children for a queer icon (yet again).

As for the shape of water people are getting triggered over the fact that the relationship between main characters is supposed to represent interracial relationship yet it's a white actor who plays the fish man (the fish man might as well stand for any type of outcast though, but tumblr will be tumblr).

That's what I got out of the conversation at least.

It's not the first time tumblr wants to fuck a monster/a villain and/or ship him with any other monster/villain. Look up literally any fandom. The only difference is that now there are more queer and trans headcanons for them.

I think part of it is because Drag Queens tend to make themselves look appealing (even the freakier ones like Sharon Needles make it look good) while their feminine, genderqueer, etc. guys look ugly. I have yet to see one of those proud gender-bender guys who don't look like a joke.
