Both terms sound stupid, doesn't matter if a TERF or a SJW came up with it.

I think that they equate the word normal with 'right' or 'mandatory', and that when somebody says something is normal, they mean it's the way everyone is supposed to be, rather than it just being the most common.

Demisexual is a completely stupid and made up attempt to codify a lack of interest in casual sex as a whole new sexuality.

There's a reason things are distributed in bell curves and it's also "normal" that there are a few people several standard deviations from any norm you could care to name. It would be abnormal if distributions were entirely flat.

Some people though just immediately go REEEEEEEEE when they hear the word normal.

A tumblerite can't be normal, silly. Normal means an oppressive shitlord duh. So if you deviate even the slightest from Ozzy and Harriet you are obviously not normal.

The idea that such a "norm" hasn't been in existence for over 50 years is to be ignored or if highlighted the person shall be called a bigot.

If there was ever anyone who had no interest in sex I can imagine it would be street walkers who have to entertain fat sweating johns grunting and thrusting into them for the 10 minutes that their stamina holds out.

Most demisexuals went through middle and high school saying they weren't sluts like all those other girls, and then once they realized that saying that type of thing wasn't "feminist friendly," searched frantically for a way to feel better about their lack of experience and feel oppressed for it.
 
Not only demisexuals, "asexuals" too. I'm pretty sure their views on sex haven't changed, it's just that they don't voice them so they don't anger the slutty "sex positive" feminists.
