I am girl and I don't care for this movie, but I see other reasons why people don't like it:
- too many reboots. People are getting tired. And majority of reboots don't have a charm of "OMG, 20 years old, so dated"orginal or is not that good.
- this reboot seems especially lazy, because they just genderbend characters
- they didn't like what they saw in trailer.

-Started production too soon after Harold Ramis, who played Egon and wrote the script for the original, had died in 2014 and it just feels kind of skeevy and wrong to me.
