You don't have a mental illness because you looked up some exaggerated symptoms and it aligned with seven different illnesses which you now claim to have all of when you're 15 (as I recall, minors cannot legally be diagnosed with a mental illness unless it is severely affecting their daily life, and I'm pretty sure you can't have more than one mental illness (ie, you can't be bipolar and schizophrenic)).

EDIT: Comorbidity's a thing, I know now. I'm talking about dumb kids who list every known disorder on their blog and claim to have it

Exactly. Not to mention, any professional will tell you that bipolar disorder can cause hallucinations and other schizophrenic symptoms, but it's NOT the same as actually having schizophrenia. These kids will have one symptom of five illnesses and "diagnose" themselves with them all.

comorbidity is very common in many mental illnesses actually.

unfortunately, tumblr sees that and assumes "oh my god, some experts believe anywhere up to 40% of people with ADHD have comorbid OCD, and i self-diagnosed myself with ADHD already, so i must have OCD too"

Another thing that bothers me is when they use said illnesses as an excuse for their behavior.

While it's not always incorrect to say their actions are the product of a disorder, a lot of it's choices they make are on their own terms.

Ah the hypocrisy of Dumblr and SJWs are at it again. Assuming that the second piece of art was made by a cis male, it's offensive and rude. In contrast, when a tumblrtot draws the same thing, it shows representation and empowerment.

Considering all their versions of fictional characters are suddenly some combination of gay, trans, fat, and dark skinned, it's not even that far off the mark.
 
So being gay and posting about it on tumblr is a crime against Muslims, while every straight girl on the site posts yaoi and femmeslash all day every day and that's not? Okay then.
