I don't normally take into account the colour of people in fandom - only how good they are, how quality their shit is, and whether or not they're a nice person or an entitled "You only don't like me cause I'm x!" child.

Do neither of those people realize that orange and blue are complementary colors? It's a very basic art principle applied to a very basic makeup technique for covering blemishes/dark spots/dark circles. Orange makeup for anything blue, yellow for purple, and then green for red. There's nothing conspiratorial about it.
