Not to be cruel, but if Judith Butler isn't something you can read and understand, you might just be stupid. "I'm not bright enough to get the reading" isn't an excuse, it's a justification to ignore you when you try to sit at the adults table.
Dostoevsky can be inaccessible. The unabridged Beowulf can be inaccessible. Butler, while brilliant, is an utterly unremarkable writer. If her writing just soars over your head, maybe consider if you're qualified to participate in the discussion.
