I mean, Stevonnie uses "they/them" because they're like two kids of the opposite gender fused together. Pearl doesn't have a specific gender but Steven does, so basically both the non-binary/masculine genders counter each other.

tl;dr: It's just a fucking kid's show, you shouldn't argue over someone's pronouns like a manchild who didn't get his szchuean sauce or whatever the fuck it was called.

I’m a little late but let me explain. This kind of stuff is piggybacking off the trend of ‘[character] is [identity/sexual orentation]’ with pictures of the characters on the respective pride flag. In this evolution of the meme, people create made up pride flags with random meanings (‘[character] is proud of you!’ ‘[character] has one brain cell!’). I’m not sure if it’s a parody or a homage to the pride flag blogs, probably somewhere in the middle. They’re pretty harmless except for the weird ones like ‘[character] would say a slur’ or ‘[character] is homophobic’ that are used for shit flinging.
