The zucchini story made me laugh. Because that’s what my aunt is always trying to unload on us when we visit. I think anybody who has ever know anybody who planted zucchini knows about the zucchini fairy.
 
Hello. Since I'm not really sure where to ask or look. I'm wondering if there is a thread around to compile and talk about the "Destroy Cringe Culture" moment?
 
I didn't know yellow squash and zucchini were the same species of plant and that you can hybridize them by planting them near each other. Finally some non-degenerate information on this site.

I agree with a lot of tumblr-ites that veganism is a very privileged white people movement, and this kind of thing is why.

And then they try to push the bullshit narrative of "well the poorest countries in the world have vegetarian diets since rice and beans are so cheap so there! We can all afford to have vegan diets!" Nevermind that people actually crave meat in their dishes in most third world countries? Not to sound like the paranoid SJW, but vegans are pretty much op example of "white privilege" if there was ever one.

They don't realize that it's better to keep your livestock alive for eggs and diary than it is to eat them, they also eat bugs. Anybody who's visited the poor parts of Africa, India, the Middle East, ect knows that even the poorest family will slaughter an animal and serve it to their guest. They may be poor and vegetarian most of the time but they do treat themselves to meat a few times a year.

Aren't a lot of Hindus vegetarians all the time? In any case, true veganism is impossible without the modern globalized food supply. We should have a vegan thread.

this, i'm suprised a thread hasn't been started yet considering it's kinda've been blowing up the past few months on BOTH Tumblr and DA, although I worry that there won't be enough content to keep the thread alive

Just the other day my Indonesian relative offered me some tempeh, and I told her that tempeh is a fairly popular and trendy food for vegans nowadays. She just laughed and told me tempeh is what poor people who can't afford meat would eat.
 
That particular one is... quite special to say the least. They claim at some point to be 14 years old and again and again deflect accusations of being a trollblog.

Taking it at face value, the entire blog reeks of the pain of secondhand embarrassment.
