so its a black feminist bitching about other (younger) black feminists being insufferable bitches?
what surprises me is that it's about events in lagos, nigeria. i didn't expect western style feminism to be a big thing in africa. then again, it's the capital of the biggest country in the region, i guess in a gigantic city like that some degree of contamination is inevitable.

Part of me feels bad. She's clearly intelligent and a good writer (or at least I enjoyed that small sample) and her characterization of that group of "certain young people" is spot on. I respect people who value loyalty in friendship and honesty in speech. I respect that she stuck to her guns and didn't apologize and immediately fold when pressed.

Another part of me finds it funny. She is a gender critical feminists. She was going pedal to the medal for this progressive ideology. "Get angry about gender", "We should all be feminists", and all that. yet she never thought to check if the car had breaks until she tried to tap them. Which is when her foot met air. Now she can see this ideology has no breaks and she can see the face of the monster enabled by it. Her post just gives catharsis to those of us who could already see it. She's not going to install breaks into the car she's since been kicked out of. She's not going to be able to reason with people who don't accept reason as a way of knowing. She instead gets to watch with the rest of us as this ideology zooms down the highway, getting more and more insane every year, every month, every day. Welcome to the pit, enjoy your stay.
