My possum story. I was driving on a highway, at night, and rapidly approached a possum trying to cross the road. They're slow as fuck, but was going to fast to just stop; so try to line up the wheels to make sure it doesn't get crushed. It works. Still hear a *dink* as I pass over it. Look in my rear-view mirror and see it laying there. Not sure if I killed it or it was doing their natural playing dead. Not having closure on this has bugged me that I still remember it.
