What an absolute abomination that thing is, and how terribly it clashes with the surrounding architecture. Seeing it next to those gorgeous traditional sculptures is physically painful to me(:_(

Yes beauty is subjective, but I swear this type of "modern"/abstract/conceptual art is deliberately chosen to demoralize the public: it appeals on an aesthetic level to virtually no one (including the majority of pseudo-intellectuals who would defend it). We're told that art should challenge us in order to be meaningful, but beauty is a value all on its own.
