I really loved the detail that goes into movies like this. Science fiction serves as great inspiration. I actually spent a few weeks diving into artificial muscle actuators, and ended up reading a text book about nanotechnology and a few dozen papers.

I spend hours filing down aluminium and brass parts, sanding 3D prints, and soldering. It is a rabbit hole for my imagination thinking about how I would make something like that work. I start googling different material's properties, and reading about manufacturing techniques.
