Of course the interior looks like a pediatricians office waiting room designed by a blind moron. Why would you want to make the interior of your school spaces look like crappy medical building interiors? Of course rainbow colored, because these are the future creative professionals, not mindless trendriding drones.

I got those images from ArchDaily.com, which is apparently where shitty architecture is worshiped. Everything single thing they post is horrific, without fail, without exception.

If we're talking about shitty college architecture, I'm reminded of the new modern art museum at Michigan State University, a shiny nightmare that clashes horribly with the rest of the campus's buildings.

This is on a campus with architecture like this:

You can see some more shots of the museum here.

I had to walk past this place a lot on my way to classes for a few semesters and it is just an ugly aluminum mess, but much of the "art" inside is just as bizarre as the exterior.

(Apologies for the awful audio)

My favorite exhibit, which I can't find the video for, was 50 mannequins dressed in full niqabs watching a video of a cow having its throat slit in slow motion with the audio playing on repeat.
I don't really get modern art.

Zaha Hadid! I am familiar with her architectural excretions. Thankfully, she died a few years ago.

I had not seen this one before! How did anyone at any time think that that would look good?! What a joke.

"Michigan State University engaged renowned architect and architecture and design critic Joseph Giovannini to facilitate a competition to select the architectural firm to design the new Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum."

Oh, they charged a NYT art critic with choosing their future. They deserve their hellscape.

Brutalism isn't post-modern, it's modern. Post-modernism was at least in part a response against shit like Brutalism.

Not really, Post-Modernism is the core concept that any media, regardless of content, is valid and relevant, which anyone on the internet should have figured out is fucking bullshit by this point, but I digress.

Some people argue Marx was the first post-modernist, having fully rejected modernism. Brutalism itself was HUGE with the Bolsheviks, just look at the Soviet era architecture anywhere East of Romania and really got the biggest boost right after Lenin started to take his dirt glass nap.

Then again I am cherry picking this point because a lot of other people say post-modernism didn't really start until Hiroshima set the world's record for marshmallow roasts.
