People aren’t imitating a network, the network imitates us. The collective unconscious is the idea that all people share a baseline of experiences. Cultures across the globe independently delevoped the idea of dragons because people have an instinctual fear of snakes, probably. But we evolved a certain method of story telling too, which is why the matrix has the same plot arch as ancient epic poems. We instinctually have this idea of “filthy man who cooms” because hey that’s what they actually look like, the same way people generally consider good looks to be similar in all parts of the world.I now understand why meme magic exists:
Memes are the result of networks of people acting like a neural network. This neural network is trained on information from the real world, and good memes are just highly accurate abstractions of this data. Thus, when a meme is created, it is the output of this trained network. This is why memes seem to predict reality. The idea already existed before in the collective unconscious. It was just the human network that processed, identified, and amplified it.
An example would be a neural network that is trained to identify hand writing. Eventually this network will learn what a letter, number, or symbol is given enough examples. However, if you then ask this neural network to do the opposite, and generate an image of a number, letter, or symbol. then it will spit out an abstraction. An ideal representation of that concept.
Memes are just the same thing.
I dont get it. What are you trying to show us? Them's just people banging.
Ah, palpatine is looking good in IX
I'd watch that movie.
This video was a 4chan meme for a brief period of time. Well, not the video in particular, but sound of the woman repeating "oh, Bill." The joke was having that audio repeat multiple times (often layered on top of itself) due to the ridiculous and repetitive nature of the source footage. It's like a female version of this iconic (and also pornographic) yell. As of word of warning, if you're somehow not familiar with this in particular, this is very loud.I dont get it. I’m more familiar with it as a SiIvaGunner memeThis video was a 4chan meme for a brief period of time. Well, not the video in particular, but sound of the woman repeating "oh, Bill."
