Truly a different era, hard to believe I "miss" this. No endless dramas, no pedophile tubers yet, just fun and a little bit annoying gaming. People weren't afraid to be themselves online basically. No worrying about cringe, just good times. So much fanart too, done free. Out of passion and love. Fanart is still around but it doesn't feel as involved or passionate as this era. It all feels pretentious nowadays, or artists hamfist their own BS into it. Hard to describe. Old fanart was all about what they watched and experienced, and inside jokes. Now it's just superficial celebrity shit.
